00:00Hello. Monday's dry and bright weather didn't last long. The rain returns on Tuesday and
00:06we're going to see further spells of rain over the next few days. This low pressure
00:10predominantly in charge during the next few days. It's sending weather fronts in from
00:14the Atlantic, those weather fronts containing a lot of cloud, outbreaks of rain, but also
00:18they're going to bring with them milder winds. So, for the UK, for the rest of Tuesday really
00:25it's a grey and damp picture. The rain not particularly heavy. It's crossing most parts
00:30as on and off patchy rain and drizzle and Shetland and Orkney largely dry and bright
00:35until much later on. But it is a dull and damp day and the cloud cover covering the
00:40hills and some mistiness around the coast as well. One area where the skies do brighten,
00:45Northern Ireland, West Wales into the south-west of England where a bit of sunshine will allow
00:50temperatures to climb up to 12 to 14 Celsius. That could actually spark off a few sharp
00:56showers across Northern Ireland, perhaps even some thundery downpours. Those showers continuing
01:01into the evening but eventually they fade away as well whilst our band of more persistent
01:05rain and drizzle pushes into Orkney and that fades overnight. Further spells of rain though
01:11and showers arrive into the west towards the end of the night and a lot of cloud remains
01:16as a result of temperatures not falling far. We're looking at 6 to 10 Celsius. So, a mild
01:20start to Wednesday even if it is a grey and gloomy start once again with outbreaks of
01:25light rain initially across Scotland, heavier rain coming along for the west of Scotland
01:30and then some more persistent wet weather arriving into the south of England into Wales
01:34and then Northern Ireland through the early afternoon. Again, a lot of cloud about. The
01:40best chance of any drier and brighter includes North East England and across some parts of
01:45Northern England into North Wales. Temperatures will climb up to 15 or 16 Celsius. Could even
01:50get 17 Celsius somewhere like North Wales. So, it is a mild day for most of us. Temperatures
01:56widely into the mid-teens but it's increasingly wet. Those outbreaks of heavy rain returning
02:02across western and increasingly central parts of the UK as we go into Wednesday evening.
02:08Not many places staying dry to be honest on Wednesday nights. Those outbreaks of rain
02:12continuing and then Thursday is a showery day with some wet and windy weather arriving
02:18overnight especially in the south.
