00:00Hello and welcome to the latest national weather from the Met Office. Plenty more spring sunshine
00:05to come during the rest of the day, the next day, the next day and so on for at least the
00:11next five days or so. Up and down the country it's looking like blue skies will prevail
00:16but some areas of medium cloud are drifting north and there is the possibility that we'll
00:23get a shower out of these clouds. However, you'd be very unlucky to be caught in a shower
00:28because for the vast majority it is going to stay dry, it's going to be sunny and it's
00:32going to be warm. The air coming up from the south or south east bringing widely temperatures
00:36of 15 to 18 Celsius and in some places 19 or even 20 degrees. For example, London to
00:42Cambridge and North Wales, North West England, Northern Scotland could see 19 degrees in
00:48some favoured spots. So a warm and sunny day for the vast majority. You'll notice a few
00:55dots of blue there drifting north into Northern England, Southern Scotland during the evening.
00:59But essentially any cloud disappears through the night, widely clear skies and temperatures
01:05will fall away. So we're looking at a touch of frost mainly in rural spots. I think in
01:11towns and cities those temperatures holding up at 3 to 6 Celsius by and large. And a few
01:17fog patches possible first thing but well we're on the edge of high pressure at the
01:21moment. That's keeping weather fronts away, it's keeping low pressure away and it's keeping
01:25us in this warm southerly airflow. So a very similar day to come on Wednesday. Yes, one
01:31or two fog patches for east and north east England. They'll disappear pretty quickly
01:35during the morning. A bit of a breeze there in the south west, a bit more cloud perhaps
01:40for Devon and Cornwall as well as the north of Scotland where there's the possibility
01:43of a shower. Also, there is the possibility of a shower breaking out for eastern England
01:49but it's a very small chance and again the prevailing theme is for blue skies, sunshine
01:55and warmth. 15 to 18 degrees, 19 perhaps 20 in some favoured spots once again. The clear
02:03skies continue into Wednesday night and again overnight into Thursday. You can see the odd
02:09fog patch into the east of England, in particular eastern Scotland for example. But Thursday
02:13essentially is another sunny skies day but there will be a bit more cloud in the far
02:18north and north west. Similar conditions on Friday, sunshine for most, a bit more cloud
02:22in the far north and north west. Bye bye.
