00:00Hello again. Some locations in England were colder on the summer solstice compared to
00:06the winter solstice. Oh, that's how miserable Monday was. But it's looking considerably
00:12drier and brighter for many places today. With the best of the sunshine in the north,
00:17still some cloud and some outbreaks of rain towards the far southeast. This weather front
00:23slowly clearing away and then the next weather front makes an appearance into the northwest
00:28to bring a return to cloud and some damp weather later in the day for Western Scotland and
00:33Northern Ireland. You can see it just edging into the Western Isles there into the afternoon.
00:37Otherwise, for the rest of Northern Ireland, much of Scotland, Northern England as well,
00:41long spells of sunshine. Legacy of cloudy skies, cumulus, stratocumulus generally for
00:48southern and southeastern parts of England. Keen breeze here. Eventually the last of the
00:54rain clearing from Kent. But of course with the cloud and the breeze, it's going to stay
00:58on the cool side in the far southeast. Mid-teens here. But where we've got brighter skies further
01:03north and west. 21, 22 Celsius possible. Feeling pleasant enough in the sunshine. The cloud
01:11does clear by and large across England and Wales during Tuesday evening. Eastern Scotland,
01:16Northern England seeing clear spells. But for much of Western Scotland, Northern Ireland
01:20and eventually northwest England, north Wales sees the cloud thicken overnight. Outbreaks
01:25of mainly light and patchy rain and drizzle here. Meanwhile, under the clear skies across
01:30England and Wales, temperatures fall away. We're looking at, in the countryside, two
01:35to five Celsius. So another particularly cool night for the time of year. Last night we
01:41got down to minus two Celsius in Altena Harrow in Scotland. Won't be the case tonight with
01:46a lot of cloud in the sky and outbreaks of rain. And a grey, damp start in northwestern
01:51areas on Wednesday morning. Much of the rain affecting coastal and hilly locations. I
01:56think northern and eastern Scotland, northeast England mostly staying dry with some bright
02:01spells and feeling warm here. 19 or 20 Celsius. Grey and damp further northwest and cool.
02:08But in the central and southeastern part of England as well as south Wales, 22, 23, possibly
02:1524 Celsius in London if we get enough sunshine. So a warmer day here compared to Tuesday.
02:21But elsewhere it's mostly cloudy and the cloud eventually makes inroads into parts of the
02:26Midlands, the rest of Wales, Cornwall into Wednesday evening. It stays clear towards
02:31the southeast. And the general trend through the rest of the week is for this rain, cloud
02:36and showers to make more and more progress further southeast. And then eventually over
02:42the weekend it turns drier and brighter for the north. Follow us on social media and we'll
02:48keep you updated on these channels. Bye bye.
