00:00Hi there. It's much cloudier out there across northern and some western parts of the UK
00:06and it will be damp for some during the rest of today. Nothing particularly heavy or persistent
00:10with brighter skies expected to the south and the east. This is the satellite and radar
00:15from earlier in the day on Wednesday and you can see the line of cloud extending into northern
00:22England, Scotland, Northern Ireland as well as West Wales. Some outbreaks of rain in places,
00:27a weather front pushing the more persistent spells of rain into Cumbria and West Wales.
00:33Some outbreaks of rain following to the north-west but clear skies for the rest of England and
00:38Wales and it more or less stays that way through the rest of the day. This area of cloud only
00:44slowly pushing south-eastwards into parts of the Midlands for example but we keep the
00:50strong sunshine for Lincolnshire, East Anglia, south-east England and sunny spells elsewhere
00:55across southern England. Some decent breaks as well for central and eastern Scotland,
00:59north-east England but a thickest cloud always to the west of these areas and that cloud
01:06will be low, there will be outbreaks of rain and drizzle especially around western coasts
01:10as well as hills. So feeling cool where we've got the low cloud and those outbreaks of rain
01:15but feeling warm where we've got the sunshine, 23 Celsius, perhaps 24 in the south-east,
01:2020 for Aberdeen, 19 there for north-east England. More of the same really overnight,
01:26the cloud does start to filter further south into parts of Cornwall and Devon, a few spots
01:31of rain here, otherwise much of the rain lightened on and off and mostly around some of these
01:36western coasts and hills. Some decent breaks to the east and south-east where temperatures
01:42will fall away, cool air there in place across East Anglia and the south-east mid-single
01:47figures otherwise a mild night to come under the area of cloud associated with these weather
01:51fronts. This one's fairly weak but this weather front moving in later on Thursday is going
01:56to bring some more persistent and heavier rain. That makes its way into northern and
02:01north-west Scotland during the morning. Ahead of it, a slice of brightness pushing through
02:05central and southern Scotland and then arriving into northern Ireland and northern England
02:09around lunchtime before moving further south. Best of the sunshine though, East Anglia and
02:14the south-east where once again it will be a warm day. The warmth perhaps setting off
02:18a few sharp showers, Wales into parts of the Midlands, northern England. Also, eastern
02:23Scotland could see a few showers but the more persistent rain by this stage arriving into
02:28western Scotland and northern Ireland so a spell of sunshine early in the day for northern
02:33Ireland before it turns particularly wet later on into the afternoon. And this weather front,
02:39this area of rain moves into north-west England, north Wales, some damp weather there for eastern
02:44and south-eastern Scotland as well. Some brightness or some clear spells arriving later
02:49to the north-west with some showers. But otherwise, the general theme through Thursday, Friday
02:55and the weekend is for rain and showers to progressively move south-eastwards and there'll
03:00be some particularly lively downpours in the south through Saturday and Sunday. Follow
03:05us on social media and we'll keep you updated on all of that. Bye bye.
