00:00Hi there, another fine day for the vast majority, less sunshine I think for many compared with
00:06the last couple of days. I know there have been some cloudier areas over the last few
00:11days but more widely there will be cloud cover through the rest of Tuesday. High and medium
00:17level clouds, some cumulus and stratocumulus through the Midlands, Northern England into
00:21South East Wales could give the odd light shower but very little of consequence and
00:25there will be thicker cloud and some drizzle passing through Northern Scotland. That will
00:28keep things cooler with a keen breeze from the South West but for much of the UK it's
00:33still above average temperatures, feeling warm in any brighter spells. 21 Celsius the
00:40afternoon high in the South so a degree or two down on Monday's highs and cooler compared
00:45with Wednesday's highs because of the cloud cover. Into the evening the cloud tends to
00:50fragment and disappear so lengthy clear spells for England and Wales, Eastern Scotland as
00:54well. Some thicker cloud will push into the Northern Isles, the North West Highlands,
00:58the Western Isles as well and some outbreaks of drizzle by the end of the night. 11 or
01:0312 Celsius towards the North West where we've got the cloud but where we've got the clear
01:08spells temperatures again dipping into the single figures and a fresh start to Wednesday
01:12but plenty of sunshine out there, a sunnier day to come for many. Again not sunshine across
01:18the board, there will be areas of cloud around for example Northern Ireland into North West
01:22England and North Wales, some patchy cloud there for the South East and an area of cloud
01:27sinking through Central Scotland to give a few light showers but then the sunshine returns
01:31for the North of Scotland feeling a bit cooler here because this is a cold front albeit a
01:35very weak cold front that's moving through. Further South it's a warmer day with temperatures
01:40reaching 22 to 23 Celsius in the South, somewhere could just about scrape 24 degrees. So warm
01:49sunshine more likely on Wednesday afternoon compared with Tuesday afternoon but it's essentially
01:54dry settled and bright both days and the area of cloud associated with the weak front that
01:59pushes through Northern Ireland into Southern Scotland, Northern England. During Wednesday
02:03evening it tends to fragment and then we've got clear skies either way and behind the
02:08cold front we've got cold air and a touch of frost possible in some sheltered spots
02:13for Northern Scotland first thing Thursday but Thursday is another warm and bright day,
02:18plenty more sunshine to come.
