00:00Hello again. A bit of a hangover from the bank holiday weekend in that we keep a lot
00:05of the cloud cover we saw on bank holiday Monday. But there will be some brighter weather
00:10developing especially towards the southwest as that happens. And as temperatures rise,
00:14a warmer day here compared to Monday, some heavy showers will develop particularly over
00:19higher parts of southwest England and Wales. Otherwise, a lot of cloud remaining and some
00:24drizzly outbreaks of rain across central and northern parts of the country. But for
00:30many it's dry and especially for eastern areas will keep the drier weather and it will be
00:38on the cool side around that north sea coast, 11 to 13 Celsius, whilst that warmer day awaits
00:43for south and southwestern parts of the UK, 17, perhaps 18 degrees. Showers continue for
00:50a time into the evening before eventually fading. But the next area of rain is pushing
00:54into Northern Ireland and then spreading into Scotland, northern England, parts of Wales
00:59as well. Sporadic outbreaks, it's not necessarily going to be persistent all night. There will
01:05be some drier spells and it will be generally dry eventually towards the south and southwest.
01:12A mild night to come because of the cloud cover, 10 or 11 Celsius, but a gloomy start
01:17to Wednesday. High pressure is still nearby so these fronts crossing the country are weakened
01:24but they are bringing the cloud and those outbreaks of rain and eventually the weather
01:28turning more showery as Wednesday goes on. So a dull and damp start to the day in many
01:33places, rain spilling into east and southeastern parts of England before eventually the cloud
01:39lifts and breaks, starts to bubble up into more showery type of cloud and showers will
01:47develop more widely, I think, compared to Tuesday. Initially for central and western
01:52parts of the country, soon enough pushing eastwards. And so for the Midlands, eastern
01:56and southeastern parts of England, some heavy downpours by the afternoon, perhaps even some
02:00hail and thunder where these showers occur. But it does dry up further west and it's a
02:06brighter day, a better chance of sunnier spells and less low cloud compared to Tuesday. And
02:11a warmer day as a result, particularly notice that difference along the east coast, a significant
02:17upturn in temperatures here. Highs of 19 Celsius there in London, that's likely to
02:21be the hot spot. Into the evening and showers continue for a time, again they will be heavy
02:27in places but eventually they fade away, clear spells forming, just some thicker cloud towards
02:32the northwest and some outbreaks of rain as this front crosses the northern half of the
02:38UK. But high pressure is building back in for Thursday from the southwest and it's bringing
02:43warmer air with it. So, a warmer and drier end to the week for southern areas in particular.
