00:00Hi there, still some warm sunshine in places during Thursday, but for many it's cloudier
00:05and cooler compared to recent weather. And there will be a few showers, most notably
00:10northern parts of England, southern and western Scotland where showers are moving north along
00:15with a good deal of cloud cover here. Elsewhere, sunny spells and showers developing in one
00:21or two spots as temperatures rise. Northern Ireland for example, somewhere from Liverpool
00:26Bay out towards Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk could see a heavy downpour bubble
00:31up during the afternoon, but predominantly sunny and a lot drier across southern areas
00:37compared to Wednesday. Temperatures rising, most places it's a little cooler than it has
00:43been, but still some warmth there, 25, 26, possibly 27 degrees for parts of East Anglia
00:49and the south east. Now there's an area of low cloud that may well head for north east
00:55Scotland as we end the afternoon, pushing into north eastern parts of Aberdeenshire,
01:00Orkney as well. Elsewhere, clear spells predominantly overnight, any showers dying away and then
01:06there'll be some thicker cloud pushing into western Scotland, a breeze picking up here
01:11as well as northern Ireland. But in between, where we get those clear skies in the north
01:15and the west, a much cooler night compared to recent nights, 2 to 5 Celsius in some sheltered
01:20spots. But we cling on to some warmth there in East Anglia and the south east, 14 or 15
01:25degrees through the night here. And as we start off on Friday, a plume of cloud, outbreaks
01:33of rain and potential thunderstorms heading towards the south east from the near continent.
01:39That could make for quite a lively start to the day. Now much of the rainfall here will
01:44be light and sporadic, but in the far south east there is that risk of some very heavy
01:50rain and thunderstorms. It's a risk, it's not a guarantee. By and large, for much of
01:55East Anglia and the south east, it's a cloudy day to come with outbreaks of rain on and
01:59off. And that will limit the temperatures here. But elsewhere, good spells of sunshine
02:05once again. Temperatures around average through the central slice of the UK, high teens, low
02:1020s, a pleasant June day. But for parts of western Scotland and northern Ireland, I think
02:16with some predominantly light to moderate showers. We end Friday with the rain in the
02:22south east tending to fizzle out, keeping the cloud for a time. In between, this slice
02:26of clear air and perhaps a few mist patches forming overnight. Some cloud and showers
02:31there for western Scotland and northern Ireland, but they also die away over the night. And
02:36into the weekend, for many, it's looking largely fine. Just a few showers to be aware of and
02:41some thicker cloud in the west at times. Follow us on social media and we'll keep you updated
02:45on all the latest. Bye.
