00:00Hello, the weather will stay dry for most of the UK and it will be sunny for many parts
00:06with rising temperatures over the next few days. A ridge of high pressure extending all
00:11the way from a very large anticyclone in the mid-Atlantic will keep things settled for
00:16most. But some weather fronts will still manage to sneak into the far north-west and that's
00:22what we're seeing on Monday evening. A cold front bringing some cloud and outbreaks of
00:26rain, light to moderate for the north of Scotland. As that sinks south into the central
00:31belt by the early hours, as well as parts of Northern Ireland and Southern Scotland
00:36later on, well it tends to weaken and as a result the rain more on and off, mostly light,
00:41mostly affecting western coasts and hills. To the south again and for much of England
00:45and Wales a clear night is expected, 8 or 9 Celsius for many but perhaps lower than
00:50that in some sheltered spots in the south. So a cool start to the day for much of England
00:55and Wales but a bright start, plenty of sunshine once again, those temperatures soon rising.
01:00The cloud associated with the weather front that's affecting northern areas pushes into
01:03Cumbria and parts of Northumberland but even here it will be relatively bright, one or
01:08two showers could pop up over the Pennines but more especially parts of eastern Scotland.
01:13And after that dull and damp start across Scotland and Northern Ireland, actually many
01:16places are looking a bit brighter and warmer by the afternoon. But the real warmth is building
01:21across southern parts of the UK, London 25, Hull 25 as well, low 20s elsewhere but it's
01:28going to turn even warmer on Wednesday and into Thursday. So cloudy skies at times for
01:34northern parts of the country but across northern England, southern and eastern Scotland the
01:38clouds break up during Tuesday night so that by the start of Wednesday sunny spells here.
01:45Cloudier and more damp for the far north and north west of Scotland with a bit more of
01:49a breeze and a mild night, a warm night even for many as we go into Wednesday. Wednesday
01:56then starts off once again with plenty of sunshine across England and Wales and increasingly
02:00eastern Scotland seeing a sunnier day compared to Tuesday. Even western Scotland will see
02:04some cloud breaks at times, northern Ireland brightening up by the afternoon. But a keen
02:08breeze for the far north west of Scotland and thicker cloud for the northern isles will
02:12lead to some more wet weather arriving here by the afternoon. Feeling cool, 13 or 15 Celsius
02:18in the far north and north west, 25 for Aberdeen by this stage and 28 for the south east. So
02:25those temperatures are rising day by day and we'll see even warmer air arrive by Thursday
02:31with the ridge of high pressure across southern areas, day by day insulation from the sunshine
02:36of course high or very high UV levels at the moment and we'll see some warmer air arrive
02:43from the Atlantic. But all change for the end of the week as a weather front sweeps
02:47through. Much more online.
