00:00Hello. A dry day for most but not for all. There is some rain out there. Primarily northern
00:07and western Scotland where those outbreaks of rain will come and go through the afternoon.
00:12But there will also be one or two showers for south west Scotland into north west England
00:16and perhaps north and west Wales. Areas of cloud floating around so variable amounts
00:22of sunshine. I think decent sunny spells for eastern Scotland, for south Wales, southern
00:27parts of England as well. That's where the highest temperatures will be 20 to 21 Celsius,
00:32perhaps even 22 degrees for the far north east of Scotland. Otherwise feeling cool with
00:37a breeze picking up in the north west and those outbreaks of rain turning heavier and
00:41more persistent into the evening for western Scotland, northern Scotland and then that
00:45rain pushing into northern Ireland, the rest of Scotland as well by the early hours of
00:50Thursday. Meanwhile for England and Wales, still variable amounts of cloud but with lighter
00:55winds and some clear spells, temperatures will fall into the single figures and we'll
01:00see some mist and fog patches first thing. Especially for southern England, south east
01:05Wales perhaps. I don't think the mist and fog will last too long, 7 or 8am that will
01:10lift and then a bright day to come for much of the south. Still areas of cloud floating
01:15about and thicker cloud pushing into northern England, north and west Wales with those outbreaks
01:20of rain arriving by the afternoon. Heavy at times especially for west Wales and north
01:25west England and a gusty breeze accompanying that wet weather. Ahead of it, a warm day
01:31to come with some bright spells there for the south and south east, 21 to 22 Celsius,
01:37perhaps 23. Cooler conditions for Scotland and northern Ireland but after the wet nights,
01:43well it brightens up through the day with some sunny spells, just one or two showers
01:47there into western Scotland. Still a keen breeze in the far north west but it's across
01:53central areas where the rain is moving through during Thursday evening and overnight. It
01:59will take its time I think, it may be slow to clear and eventually during Friday it does
02:04erratically push away from the south east of England. Behind that, higher pressure is
02:09building in but it's building in from the west and as a result we've got this cool north
02:14westerly air flow and some showers accompanying it as well but also some bright spells so
02:19temperatures falling a little this weekend but still some sunny spells around.
