00:00The weather is set to turn colder and much more unsettled later this week but
00:05we've started the week with well around average temperatures and most places
00:09seeing a fine day on Monday with showers for some mainly around the periphery of
00:15this area of high pressure so thicker cloud arriving into northern Scotland
00:19some light rain drizzle here and a steady stream of showers on Monday
00:23afternoon coming into parts of southeast England primarily Kent there seeing
00:28shower after shower on this brisk northeasterly breeze one or two showers
00:33into Norfolk as well away from the cloudier zones in the far north and the
00:37far southeast plenty of sunshine however with that that blue sky temperatures
00:43reaching nine or ten Celsius seven to nine further north and well under those
00:48clear skies temperatures will fall away quite quickly this evening I should
00:52imagine but thicker cloud will tend to topple a little further south into parts
00:56of southern Scotland and northern England much of Northern Ireland I will
01:00continue to see those showers into the far southeast as well away from the
01:05cloudier spots well we'll see a few fog patches forming in places and
01:09temperatures dipping below zero in places as well so chilly start for many
01:14as we start off Tuesday the cloud keeping temperatures higher across parts
01:18of Scotland especially the north of Scotland where it continues to be a bit
01:21damp in places we'll also see thicker cloud coming in from the southeast
01:26those showers continue to be close to the far southeast of England close to
01:31Kent but perhaps offshore for a time in between still some sunshine across the
01:37Midlands South Wales southwest England after any early fog patches lift a fine
01:41day to come again here and for most with that high pressure nearby it is a dry
01:46and settled a albeit a bit more cloudy in places compared to Monday afternoon
01:50similar temperatures compared to Monday around average for the time of year into
01:56Tuesday evening we'll see those cloud breaks persist across central and
02:00southern parts of the UK and I think more extensive fog forming in places by
02:05the time we get to the start of Wednesday this weather front meanwhile
02:09towards the northwest of Scotland will begin to move south and that is going to
02:14bring a change later this week it's going to turn much more unsettled with
02:18low pressure arriving from the northwest is also going to turn colder
02:22with some wintry weather in places we'll keep you updated on all of that if you
