00:00Hello there. Apache frost to greet some of us first thing Monday morning, but plenty of sunshine to come through the day, with the exception of northern Scotland where there will be thicker cloud and patchy rain here.
00:10High pressure in charge over the next few days, keeping it settled, temperatures around average. However, towards the end of the week it turns colder once more as the winds turn around to a northerly direction, introducing more unsettled weather across the UK.
00:23Through Sunday evening, clear skies across central and western parts of the UK, few showers continuing across eastern England, heaviest and most frequent towards Kent, and also thicker cloud across the far north of Scotland with some patchy light rain here.
00:36Overnight under the clearest skies, temperatures falling away, low single figures in towns and cities as low as minus 2 to minus 4 Celsius in the glens of Scotland, perhaps northern England also seeing temperatures below freezing.
00:50So ice scrapers at the ready for some of us first thing Monday morning, but we'll also be greeted with blue skies across the country, with the exception of northern Scotland, cloudier skies here, some patchy rain.
01:01This will slowly push southwards during the day and also some scattered showers continuing across southeast England where the north easterly breeze will also remain on the strong and gusty side here.
01:12With light winds though for many of us it will feel a little bit less cold on Monday compared to Sunday, temperatures around average for the time of year.
01:20The winds also picking up later on in the day across northern Scotland, temperatures here around 8 or 9 Celsius.
01:27Through Monday evening, cloud across northern Scotland, patchy rain will slowly push its way southwards, elsewhere generally dry, temperatures will fall away under those clearing skies, a few showers still across southeast England.
01:38Over the next few days, high pressure starts to slip away, the winds turn around to a northerly direction, we start to see colder weather and increasingly unsettled weather returning.
