00:00Hello. A chilly start across some parts of England and Wales this morning as temperatures
00:04dipped just below freezing in one or two spots. But that's where we'll see the best of the
00:09sunshine during the rest of the day. Sunny spells likely for south Wales into southern
00:14and southeastern parts of England. Cloudier elsewhere, in fact the clouds tending to thicken
00:19through the day for Scotland and Northern Ireland and here the breeze picking up with
00:23spells of rain moving into western Scotland. One or two light showers for Northern England.
00:28Twelve or thirteen Celsius in the north not feeling so pleasant with the increase in cloud
00:32cover. Fifteen, possibly sixteen in the south with the sunny spells pleasant enough although
00:37those temperatures are a degree or so lower compared with Monday afternoon. And we keep
00:43the clear spells for much of England and Wales into the evening but generally speaking the
00:48cloud thickens from the west. Outbreaks of showery rain move in. However we keep the
00:54clear night for East Anglia and the south east parts of the East Midlands. And it's
00:58here where temperatures will again fall away. Mid to low single figures in places. A much
01:03milder night to come for Scotland, Northern Ireland, Western England. Temperatures staying
01:08up in the double figures in some places although some heavy rain by dawn. Especially through
01:13the central belt a damp start to the day here. That rain moving through Scotland, Northern
01:19Ireland into Northern England first thing. It does clear Scotland and Northern Ireland
01:23during the morning. Brighter skies follow but the rain pushes into Northern England,
01:28North Midlands, parts of Wales and the south west and it becomes slow moving. It turns
01:32more showery. Some heavy bursts around by the end of the afternoon and a lot of cloud
01:37cover but we keep the sunny spells ahead of that area of rain. East Anglia and the south
01:41east just about staying fine into the afternoon. Sixteen or seventeen degrees here and brighter
01:46conditions there for Scotland and Northern Ireland. One or two showers but otherwise
01:49mostly fine. Thirteen or fourteen Celsius. Now the cloudy zone with those heavy showers
01:55tends to linger for a time into the evening before eventually moving south east. You can
01:59see some big blobs of heavy rain there through Wales into the Midlands, south west England
02:04during the evening. But clear skies for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England. And
02:10the clearer conditions there in the north move across the country with a travelling
02:14ridge of high pressure before further weather fronts bring spells of rain later Thursday
02:18in from the west and then as that rain clears to showers on Friday it's certainly going
02:23to turn much more blustery with the risk of coastal gales or even inland gales for some
02:28in the north. Low pressure to the north of the UK dominating things on Friday and in
02:32fact into the weekend. The weather stays changeable, unsettled and we'll see further rain or showers
02:38with strong winds. Find out much more on social media but that's all from me for now. Bye
02:43bye.
