00:00Hello there. Gales and heavy rain for the north and the west of Scotland to start

00:04Wednesday. Elsewhere some fog patches particularly in the south but also some

00:09sunshine backtrack to Tuesday evening. It's pleasant outside with some late

00:14sunshine warm as well. There's a weak weather front across Northern Ireland

00:18western parts of Scotland particularly on the upslopes we could see some patchy

00:22drizzle as it sinks down towards border regions. Notice though towards the

00:25northwest that's where the wind is picking up some strength and eventually

00:29we'll see thickening cloud bring outbreaks of rain. Elsewhere some clearer

00:33skies overnight will allow temperatures fall quite quickly and with that we can

00:37see some mist and fog patches particularly across eastern and southern

00:40parts of Wales central southern England down towards the West country. Now

00:43towards the far northwest temperatures holding up overnight in double figures

00:48but it will be a wet and windy start to Wednesday with some high rainfall totals

00:52through the morning. You can see this band of rain it's an active cold front

00:56only slowly pushing its way southwards. So some drier perhaps even brighter

01:00weather for Aberdeenshire a dry start for the central belt border region

01:04seeing some sunshine to start the day and a quieter start for Northern Ireland

01:08although here we will see thickening cloud. Now for much of England and Wales

01:12it could be a bit of a misty start with some fog patches and certainly for the

01:16northwest a bit more cloud here the odd spot or two of drizzle. So through the

01:21morning that fog lifts by around mid-morning and most places across

01:26England and Wales will have some brighter skies if not some sunshine. The

01:29sunshine through the morning across Aberdeenshire and southern parts will

01:33tend to fade away as that cloud and rain gradually sinks in eventually reaching

01:37Northern Ireland through the afternoon and again we could see the odd moderate

01:40burst. Behind it the air is cooler brighter with some showers but again

01:44some strong winds. We won't see actually any wet weather across border regions

01:49Ayrshire until possibly later on in the day around sundown but it will be a

01:53windy afternoon and rather cloudy. In the sunshine though further south

01:57temperatures could reach 21 to 23 degrees Celsius. So here's that cold

02:02front sinking ever southwards through Thursday. It tends to ease as another one

02:06arrives across the far north of Scotland some fresher air here and then the winds

02:10lose their strength for a time on Thursday. Again some brighter skies

02:15coming and going as that cloud drifts away towards the east and come Friday

02:20you can see here some oranges just representing some warmer air across the

02:24country helped with some sunshine always more clouds and some showery bursts of

02:29rain for the north as well as the west. Bye bye
