00:00Hello there. Welcome to your weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Now, for the last day of meteorological summer, it's mostly fine and dry with some sunshine.
00:09All change, though, through Friday and into the weekend as low pressure asserts its influence.
00:16For the time being, though, through Tuesday evening, it's pleasant outside.
00:19Any showers across eastern England fading away.
00:22Bit of a breeze across central and southern parts of the country.
00:25Further north and west, it's quiet.
00:27We could even see some mist and fog patches.
00:29And across the glens of Scotland, temperatures dipping down to around 3 or 4 degrees Celsius,
00:33if not a little lower in one or two prone spots.
00:37Elsewhere, temperatures holding up around 12 to 14 Celsius.
00:40But a breezy start to the day, anywhere from the wash down towards the Severn southwards.
00:45So, through the morning, most places starting the day dry with some sunshine.
00:50Notice across eastern counties, though, we'll see a few showers migrate in here.
00:54Certainly more clouds for Northumberland as well as East Yorkshire.
00:58Even border regions seeing more on the way of clouds through the morning.
01:01Bright elsewhere with some sunshine.
01:03And then through the day, one or two showers may pop up anywhere across Lincolnshire, the Midlands,
01:08even as far west as the northeast of Wales.
01:11But they'll be scattered.
01:13Most places will remain dry and there will be some sunshine around.
01:17This cloud just comes and goes through the afternoon.
01:19This will help temperatures up to 20, 21 across the northwest, 23 to 25 further south and east.
01:25It will outlook through Thursday.
01:27Again, most places remaining fair with some sunny spells, a chance of one or two showers.
01:33But then all change through Thursday and into Friday.
01:37Notice high pressure drifts away as low pressure just moves in from the west,
01:42bringing with it the chance of some showers on Friday and then into the weekend.
01:46Low pressure really does influence our weather with spells of rain.
01:50Some of this rain could be heavy with the risk of thunder and some stronger winds across Scotland.
01:55And into next week, it turns fresher as well.
01:58I'll see you later. Bye bye.
