00:00Hello there. It has been a bit of a record breaker of a season, but we are now heading
00:05towards the end of metrological summer, but we are doing so on a rather quiet but warm
00:11note. We have had a fair amount of high-level cloud across the country during the course
00:16of Sunday, as shown in this satellite sequence from earlier, and that cloud will continue
00:21to affect much of the country overnight on Sunday, although we are likely to see a few
00:26clear spells developing, especially across the south and to the lee of high ground. Overnight
00:32temperatures staying comfortably in double figures, with overnight lows of 13 and 14
00:37across the south and 12 further north. So that's a fine and bright start for many of
00:44us on Monday morning, especially in the west. Further east, we are seeing some cloud pushing
00:49east westwards from the North Sea, and that cloud thick enough to give a few outbreaks
00:54of light rain and drizzle in places. Now with the best of the sunshine in the west,
01:00that is where we are likely to see the highest temperatures during the course of Monday,
01:04so feeling pleasantly warm there. Where we see that thicker cloud in the east, temperatures
01:09down a little on recent values. So remaining dry but cloudy Monday evening, again with
01:15a few clear spells developing across the west and the south. And those settled conditions
01:22will continue into Tuesday, with high pressure continuing to dominate the weather over the
01:28coming few days. Although that high pressure cell is fairly weak, we are still likely to
01:33see some cloud and some rain in the forecast at times, but that rain mostly light. And
01:39looking a little bit further towards the end of the week, there are hints that the weather
01:43may turn more unsettled from Friday from the north and west, with rain for many of us.
