00:00Good afternoon and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. It's
00:04been a dry and fine start to Bank Holiday Monday for many, but let's have a look and
00:08see what this afternoon has in store.
00:10While sunny spells will continue for many, especially across the south-west, scattered
00:13showers will affect central parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as a chance
00:17of the odd shower across eastern England.
00:20It will be a breezy afternoon for anyone heading to the south or south-west coast, with gusts
00:24of 25-30mph and a local chance of seeing a 35mph gust.
00:30Despite this breeze, it will be warm in the south with highs of 25, though with slightly
00:33cloudier skies and an onshore breeze in the east, it will be a bit cooler here with highs
00:37of 18-20.
00:38Tonight, showers will continue across Scotland for a time, with some showers also affecting
00:44south-east England. Elsewhere, it will remain dry with some clear spells around, and it's
00:49here we will see the coolest temperatures tonight, with lows dipping into the single
00:53figures.
00:54Tuesday will be cloudiest in general for the north and east, with showers across south-east
01:00England and southern parts of Scotland for a time.
01:02A dry and bright day elsewhere with plenty of sunny spells, it will also remain breezy
01:06for southern coasts, but this again will not dampen temperatures too much, with highs of
01:1024 in the south and 20 in the north.
