00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Cooler over the next 24 hours, certainly by night, and you'll notice the difference across
00:08England and Wales where things have been decidedly sticky through the last few nights.
00:12However, through Wednesday evening, outbreaks of rain for Northern Ireland.
00:16This wet weather extends towards the Isle of Man, Northern Council of England. At the same time,
00:20a wet evening across Aberdeenshire. Now this rain will clear, only to be replaced
00:24from the west from another batch of wet weather extending from the North West Highlands
00:28up towards Sutherland and Caithness, clipping the Moray Firth, eventually
00:32reaching Aberdeenshire through the latter part of the night. That's where it's dry,
00:36not as warm as it has been, not as muggy as well, leading into a fine start
00:40to the day across much of England and Wales. But for the North and the West
00:44of Scotland, watch out for showers first thing. These showers will extend across
00:48the country as we head through the day. Rain across the North East of Scotland will clear,
00:52a fine start though for the central belt, southern parts of Scotland. Fine for Northern Ireland,
00:56away from the North and the West where you'll see some showers. Then we run into more cloud
01:00and a few showers anywhere from Northumberland down towards Yorkshire, Merseyside as well as
01:04northern parts of Wales. And some showers can't be ruled out across the West Country
01:08first thing on Thursday morning. Elsewhere, it's a fine start to the day
01:12with some sunshine. Now this cloud with some showers moves down towards the Midlands,
01:16mid Wales through the morning before it tends to fizzle out. Now for
01:20Scotland, it's sunshine and heavy showers through the day, with the risk
01:24of the odd rumble of thunder. A scattered affair when it comes to showers for Northern Ireland
01:28and a few just moving in across the far north of England. More cloud
01:32through the latter part of the day across the Midlands, even down towards central southern England
01:36where temperatures will be lower than the last few days, coming in
01:40around 24, 25 degrees Celsius. In shelter,
01:44in any sunshine further north, 18 to 21, 22
01:48degrees Celsius. Now things settle down over the next
01:52few days. We watch as high pressure builds from the southwest
01:56so certainly some cooler nights, dry days
02:00away from the north and the west where you'll always be exposed to more clouds
02:04and some weather fronts just bringing in some showery bursts of rain. So here's your
02:08picture through Saturday as well as Sunday. Light breezes across much of
02:12England and Wales, Northern Ireland and always the rain confined to the north as well
02:16as the west of the country, even through Sunday. And through the next
02:20few days temperatures will recover yet again. So here's your cities
02:24list through Friday. You can see some showers in the west as well as the north
02:28temperatures typically around average for this time of year. Here's your outlook through
02:32Saturday. Yet again some fine and dry weather across England and
02:36Wales. Temperatures here 20 to 24 degrees Celsius and warmer still
02:40through Sunday. So 25 in London and even reaching the
02:4420s across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Now for information about
