00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Showery through the next few days, although some brighter skies, particularly through
00:08the afternoon on Wednesday. Through Tuesday evening though, a rash of showers covers the
00:13country. They're tracking from the south-west up towards the north-east, no one immune to
00:18that wet weather. Although through the night you may see some gaps in the cloud across
00:22the eastern side of the country, allowing for a good view of the full moon. At the same
00:26time, you can see through the early hours of the morning, more wet weather across the
00:30south-east of England with a strong wind, and further north and west always breezy
00:34with further showers. Now these showers could turn heavy from time to time, with the risk
00:38of thunder. Temperatures then, single figures across Scotland and Northern Ireland, but
00:42further south you may just hang on to a ten. First thing on Wednesday morning, showers
00:47from the word go, but we will see some brighter skies, particularly across eastern Scotland
00:51and shelter spots of Northern Ireland, down towards the Midlands. But the rain across
00:55the far south-east will clear, and then further showers just moving in and tracking from the
00:59west towards the east. But they'll be more scattered through the day, still heavy with
01:03the risk of thunder. But then towards the far north, that's where the wettest weather
01:07will be, a strong and driving wind here, and that wet weather extends towards the Northern
01:12Ireland yet again. But through the latter part of the day, we'll find the winds easing
01:16further, temperatures up to around 13 to 15 Celsius, helped with some sunshine away from
01:21Northern Ireland and Western Scotland. Clouds will approach these parts with some outbreaks
01:25of rain. The rain extends into Thursday, and through Thursday we could even see severe
01:30gales across the far north-west of Scotland. It's going to be a windy day. Further south
01:34and east, yes, always a chance of one or two showers, but here we'll see some drier, brighter
01:38weather. The air will be mild wherever you are through Friday. Yet again, another weather
01:42front skirts the country, pushing down to central zone, and that pretty much sets the
01:46scene for the weekend. So, in summary, yes, it's remaining unsettled. Most of the wet
01:52weather will be across the north as well as the west, where we'll see the strongest winds.
01:55It's going to be breezy further south and east, but here we'll see some drier skies
01:59from time to time. But also, another feature of the weather will be how mild it is, particularly
02:04by night. We'll certainly notice the difference. Even by day, temperatures will be above average.
