00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office. Remaining

00:04unsettled over the next few days and turning fresher tomorrow with a strong

00:08wind. In fact, through Tuesday evening and overnight there are two warnings in

00:13force. A rain warning across the far southwest of Scotland where we will see

00:18some high rainfall totals and a broad wind warning covering much of Scotland,

00:22Northern England, Wales as well as Northern Ireland. Across the Irish

00:25Seacoast that's where we like to see gales if not severe gales for a time

00:29into the early hours of the morning with gusts reaching around 55 miles an

00:33hour, perhaps even slightly higher. And then this weather front extends down

00:37towards the southeast as we head into the afternoon with fresher air behind.

00:41For the time being though, Tuesday evening it's mild to the south of this

00:46weather front. Rain returns to Scotland particularly across central and

00:50southern areas with some heavy pulses coming through and more rain just moves

00:55in across Wales and extends towards Northern England clipping the far north

00:58of the Midlands. So some wet weather here to end the night is going to turn

01:02windy as well, breezy wherever you are, remaining mild particularly across

01:06England and Wales. Temperatures holding up 14 or 15 degrees Celsius. However,

01:12first thing on Wednesday morning that rain yet again will be heavy for a time.

01:17It'll clear Northern Ireland through the first part of the morning with some

01:20sunshine and showers. Rain then extends down towards much of England and Wales.

01:25Again, we could see some heavy bursts as we see the sun come out across Scotland.

01:29But watch out for some blustery showers. Blustery showers also for Northern

01:33England, the Midlands, Wales and the West Country through the afternoon. An overhang

01:36of cloud across the Midlands as well as East Anglia, the southeast as the rain

01:40clears towards the near continent. It's going to feel fresher in that wind,

01:44temperatures lower than what they have been. However, through the next few days

01:48values coming in around average for this time of year, if not slightly higher

01:52further south. Yes, there'll be a legacy of showers and these showers could merge

01:56to form a longer spell of rain later on on Thursday across Scotland. More showers

02:01yet again on Friday. Perhaps some dry skies towards the southeast where

02:05temperatures will again reach around 18 or 19 degrees Celsius. And into the

02:11weekend, here's your bigger picture. So those showers clear on Saturday, we'll

02:15see a ridge of high pressure through the morning. It's going to be a chilly morning

02:19but it will be bright even with some sunshine. And then all change yet again

02:23through Sunday. The rain intensifies from the west, the winds pick up some strength

02:28so some wet and windy conditions hanging on to some dry weather across the far

02:32southeast but certainly turning fresher again from the northwest. Bye bye.
