00:00Hello there. September so far has been very warm and the next few days will be very similar
00:05where you catch some sunshine. A transition to fresher air come Monday. For the next 24
00:11hours, clouds will deliver rain and drizzle to some parts, particularly towards the west.
00:15In fact, through Thursday evening, cloud and outbreaks of rain will push up towards the
00:19north east of Scotland. Clouds slowly moves down towards more northern parts of England
00:24where again over the higher ground of southern Scotland, northern England, Pennines, southern
00:27uplands will see spits and spots of rain. To the south of that, across much of England
00:31and Wales, it's clear skies overnight, rather chilly with some mist and fog patches. But
00:35cast your eye towards the west. A set of weather fronts will deliver more clouds and some patchy
00:40rain and drizzle to western Scotland, particularly on the upslopes, the hills of Northern Ireland
00:45and the Cumbrian fells through the early hours of the morning. A windy night in the north,
00:48gales across the far north west keeping temperatures up. That leads into a mixed bag first thing
00:54on Friday morning. You see the rain across the far north of Scotland, gale force winds
00:58here, a window of brighter weather across Aberdeenshire and then we run into the clouds
01:02and some patchy rain and drizzle for the central belt, Northern Ireland, southern Scotland
01:06as well as the north west of England. Also for the north and the west of Wales, again
01:10over the higher ground, low misty cloud, poor visibility and some damp conditions. Any mist
01:16and fog across central and southern parts of England will lift quite quickly and we'll
01:20see some brighter skies here. So through Friday, breezy in the north as well as the
01:25west, sunshine in shelter towards the east where it could be quite gusty across eastern
01:29Scotland and north east England. And then there's patchy rain just coming and going
01:32across Northern Ireland, clearing southern Scotland but certainly for Cumbria as well
01:37as Lancashire, Pennine districts, you'll be plagued with clouds and also some patchy
01:41rain and drizzle from time to time. It should dry up across Wales and central southern England,
01:46the Midlands, East Anglia, the clouds will come and go with some brighter breaks from
01:49time to time. And in the sunshine, temperatures typically coming in around 21 to 23 degrees
01:55Celsius, warmer across eastern Scotland than the last few days, still rather breezy up
01:59here. Now here's an overview of the weekend. Warm air across much of the country, exposed
02:04to the wind though towards western Scotland, you'll see more clouds and spits and spots
02:08of rain. Brighter skies always towards the east. The chances for showers towards more
02:13central and southern parts of England through Sunday. The risk also of thunder, still some
02:17sunshine to be had by many. And this is the transition I'm talking about on Sunday into
02:23Monday. A sharp band of rain brings with it some wet weather for a couple of hours as
02:27it clears away towards the east and behind it the air is a lot fresher. Bye bye.
