19 September - National weather forecast
Transcript
00:00Hello there, it may be the season of Mr Mellow fruitfulness but there is a fair
00:04amount of rain in the forecast, especially as we're heading to Sunday. So
00:08a bit of a dry night for many across parts of England, although rain further
00:12west starting to edge into parts of Scotland and Northern England, that rain
00:15becoming heavy for a time. Temperatures in double figures overnight with
00:19overnight lows around 12 or 13. So a bit of a bright start to tomorrow
00:24morning, especially the further east you are, although it's not going to stay like that
00:28with rain moving eastwards during the course of the morning, early afternoon
00:32and that rain becoming heavy during the early afternoon across many eastern
00:36areas. Temperatures generally a notch down on Saturday, so a cooler day for
00:43many with highs of around 18 or 19, perhaps a 20 in the far south. Sunday
00:48evening, so that rain continuing to affect many in the east, brightening up
00:53from the west as dry weather moves in. And looking at the outlook, so Monday
00:57sees those showers from the weekend starting to ease. Longer sunny and drier
01:02spells developing Tuesday and Wednesday, turning unsettled later in the week from
01:06the northwest. Thank you.
