00:00Hi there, a dry weekend for most with high pressure moving in but still a few showers
00:06out there as we begin the weekend because the high is moving in slowly and around the
00:11periphery of that high on the eastern flank, relatively tightly packed isobars bringing
00:16showers into the north and the east during Friday nights. However, those showers will
00:21become fewer overnight compared with how we've seen things through the day and for many it's
00:27a dry night with lengthy clear spells and with winds easing inland, well, temperatures
00:32will fall. We're looking at the mid-single figures in many spots, even in urban areas
00:38and in some sheltered spots, central England, north-west England, parts of Scotland as well
00:44as Northern Ireland, those temperatures could dip right down into the low single figures
00:47with perhaps a touch of grass frost in places. So, it will be a chilly start to the weekend
00:53but it's a sunny start for many, away from the north of Scotland that is where there
00:58will be additional cloud and further showers from the word go. One or two showers will
01:02continue to affect eastern parts of England, mostly East Anglia but fewer compared with
01:07Friday. For many it is a dry and bright day with sunny spells and temperatures getting
01:14up into the mid-teens fairly widely and perhaps the high-teens in one or two spots further
01:20south. Now into Saturday evening, once again temperatures will fall away, the chilly nights
01:26this weekend, something to bear in mind of course if you're heading to London but actually
01:31for many Saturday nights looking dry, the clear spells will remain in the south. A bit
01:37more cloud will be pulled into Scotland, Northern Ireland, north-west England as well as north
01:42Wales with some showers to come here. The temperature is not quite as low as Friday
01:47night, we're looking at the high single figures fairly widely, mid to perhaps low single figures
01:53in some sheltered spots. But Sunday starts off with some sunshine in the south especially
01:59and some breaks in the cloud further north as well, although there will be showers affecting
02:03western and central Scotland, Northern Ireland and then later on towards north-west England
02:08into the midlands as well as north Wales. Those showers will be hit and miss and for
02:13many it's looking like a dry day away from those areas with broken cloud. But it will
02:18be cloudier I think, especially in the south compared with Saturday. Temperatures however
02:23with the winds now no longer coming from the north, it looks like they'll be a degree or
02:29so higher compared with Saturday. Now Monday continues the theme of increasing cloudiness
02:35and also increasing warmth, a degree or so again higher compared with Sunday.
