00:00Hello again. A spell of strong winds and heavy rain for many of us as a cold front crosses

00:06the country, but it's only a brief spell of lively weather. It's an area of line convection

00:12which is when the winds and the rain pick up for 15, 20 minutes or so. As it pushes

00:18through you'll notice it and it's moving into the Midlands, parts of South Wales, South

00:22West England by the end of the afternoon. Ahead of it, sunny spells for East Anglia

00:27in the South East and a fairly mild breeze, 17 to 19 Celsius here, but a rapid drop in

00:34temperature as that line convection moves through and further showers arriving into

00:40Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England and parts of Wales and much cooler air. It's

00:45through the evening that that area of rain and strong winds push into East Anglia in

00:50the South East, clearing by around midnight and then clear spells and lighter winds for

00:55many overnight. As a result, it looks like temperatures will fall away but there'll

01:00still be some showers into the West of Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland, North West England

01:04and West Wales. Here with the breeze we're looking at high single figures but where we

01:08get some shelter and some clear spells elsewhere, temperatures dipping into the mid to even

01:14low single figures. So a bit of a chill in the air first thing this weekend but plenty

01:19of sunshine around, particularly in the South and the East. There'll be further showers

01:23trickling into North West England, perhaps North Wales for a time, but most of the showers

01:28will affect Western Scotland I think and there'll be thicker cloud into the North West along

01:32with a bit of a breeze. So feeling cooler here but we haven't got the sunny spells elsewhere,

01:3816 to 18 Celsius, so pleasant enough. Then heading into Saturday evening, the lighter

01:45winds and the clear spells across much of England and Wales mean that it will be another

01:50chilly night, especially in the South, central parts of England again dropping into the low

01:55single figures. But breezier conditions into the North West and a thickening cloud along

02:00with some showers ahead of the next frontal system and you can see high pressure ebbing

02:05away for Sunday. This weather front moving in, low pressure near Iceland, isobars tightening

02:10up and that means it's going to turn into a wet and windy day for Scotland, Northern

02:13Ireland and later for parts of Northern England whilst the high pressure further South mean

02:18that after a chilly start it's another largely dry and bright day but the clouds will roll

02:22in from the West as the afternoon gets going. Now that rain and wind will cross the country

02:28during Monday and brighter skies follow with more settled weather for a couple of days.
