00:00Hello. In the north, it's a day of sunny spells and blustery showers. In the south, mostly
00:06dry with some sunny spells. Having said that, there were some showers moving across southern
00:12areas earlier. They're getting out of the way early part of the afternoon as a cold
00:16front clears through. And then behind that, west of the airflow and quite breezy conditions
00:22for northern parts of the UK, Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England and North Wales
00:27seeing showers arrive. These showers few and far between for North Wales and North
00:30West England, but quite a number of them pushing into central and western Scotland, Northern
00:35Ireland. Away from the showers, a few brighter insoludes in the north, a better chance of
00:40longer sunny spells further south. And 23 to 25 Celsius, feeling pleasant enough in
00:45the south with light winds, but on the cool side where we've got that breeze bringing
00:50those showers in to Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England. The showers continue
00:55for a time during the evening, one or two popping up a bit further south, but by and
00:59large, many of the showers easing and clear spells replacing them. And it stays clear
01:04across much of England, parts of Wales, central and eastern Scotland for a while. As a result,
01:10it's going to be a fresh night, more comfortable for sleeping. In many places, temperatures
01:15down to 11 to 13 Celsius, but I think in some sheltered spots, single figures. However,
01:21by the end of the night, well, it soon turns up pretty blustery once again across western
01:26Scotland, Northern Ireland, some heavy rain moving in, some strengthening winds, even
01:32coastal gales for exposed parts of the Western Isles. So a lively start here first thing
01:37this weekend. The band of rain pushes into central, eastern and southern Scotland quite
01:42quickly during the morning. It crosses Northern Ireland as well. It narrows and eventually
01:48becomes focused across the far north of England into Cumbria, for example, Northumberland
01:53and along that area of rain, some heavy bursts and gusty winds. There'll be further showers
02:00to the northwest of Scotland, some brighter spells for Northern Ireland, central Wales,
02:05southern Scotland and certainly a bright day to come for much of central and southern England
02:10as well as Wales. One or two showers building by day, but actually for many, it's mostly
02:16dry with those sunny spells and a breezier day, so perhaps feeling a bit cooler, but
02:21still low to mid-twenties in the south, high teens, low twenties further north. Now, this
02:27rain sinks south across the rest of northern England and north Wales by evening. It's tending
02:34to break up into showers and ease away as it pushes south, mostly dry to the south of
02:41that with clear spells overnight and clear spells also for the far north of England,
02:45central Scotland and Northern Ireland with further showers arriving into the north coast
02:49of Northern Ireland and western Scotland. You can barely make out the area of rain as
02:54it sinks into central England, first thing Sunday, it disappears. Still some showers
02:59around though across central England, Wales and the southwest. One or two showers also
03:05for the far north of Scotland, but away from these showers for much of Sunday, many places
03:09are dry and bright. The best of the sunshine will be across Cumbria and northeast England
03:14because the cloud will be building elsewhere and that cloud will be thickening across much
03:19of west Wales into Cornwall, that's a band of rain that will move in from the west overnight.
03:27It's going to turn more humid in the southwest as that cloud thickens up, but actually temperatures
03:31down a degree or so compared with Saturday. Then the rain in the west moves across the
03:37country Sunday night and into Monday, some heavy rain at times, even in the south there'll
03:42be some heavy showers. It clears away during Tuesday and temperatures will rise as well.
