00:00Hello again. Yet another dry day is expected for virtually all of the UK. Long spells of
00:05sunshine as well and it will continue to be breezy in the southwest. In other words, it's
00:10a very similar day to Thursday. High pressure in the south of the North Sea will continue
00:14to bring a brisk breeze to southwestern areas on the periphery of that high, but you can
00:20see a lack of isobars elsewhere. So for many, it's light winds and long spells of sunshine.
00:27There is a bit more cloud in the north. Mostly this is high clouds, so turning the sun hazy
00:31but staying bright, but some thicker cloud there across the Grampians into the far north
00:35of Scotland as well. Perhaps the odd shower for the likes of Shetland, but for the vast
00:40majority it's looking dry and with light winds. In the southwest, the wind will be brisk,
00:4530 to 40 mile per hour wind gusts around the moors and just to the west of the moors as
00:50well. That wind will make it feel a bit cooler and it will feel cooler along the coast of
00:56the south and the east. But inland, 15 to 18 Celsius, 19 Celsius for parts of south
01:03and west Wales, west Midlands, northwest England could just about squeeze a 20 somewhere favourable
01:10towards the west of Wales for example. High UV levels it has to be said in the south and
01:15high pollen levels for virtually all of the UK during Friday. That's tree pollen at the
01:21moment, mainly birch and ash, but some amounts of plain pollen across England and Wales if
01:27you're affected by that. Into the evening and overnight, the wind picks up strength
01:31if anything across southwestern parts of England. That will help stir the air up, it will help
01:35prevent a frost here, otherwise light winds for most, long clear spells, but a bit of
01:41low cloud drifts into parts of Scotland, especially eastern facing slopes, northeast England as
01:47well, and perhaps some patchy mist and low cloud forming somewhere around the Chilterns,
01:52east Anglia as well. Temperatures where we stay clear and where the winds are light dropping
01:58to 1 to 3 Celsius fairly widely, just below freezing in a few sheltered spots, but staying
02:04above where we've got the wind and where we've got the cloud cover. And then we start off
02:09Saturday, a chill in the air yes, but another dry and bright start for the vast majority.
02:15Long spells of sunshine, but we keep some of this low cloud around some eastern parts
02:19of Scotland, and it will linger at times around some eastern hills of northern England and
02:25some North Sea coasts, but otherwise for most, it's dry and it's sunny. Chance of a small
02:31amount of rain there for Shetland, but that dry theme continues for the vast majority,
02:36and it's a similar day as far as temperatures are concerned. It will feel much cooler along
02:40the North Sea coast, we're picking up a bit of a breeze here and some additional cloud,
02:44but inland where we've got the sunshine, again 15 to 19 Celsius possible, especially
02:50in the west. Saturday evening then, long spells of clear sky once again, just the chance of
02:56some low cloud and some mistiness around some of these North Sea coasts, but clear skies
03:01elsewhere. Bit more of a breeze across southern parts of the UK will keep things generally
03:05frost free for the start of Sunday, but otherwise it's a chilly start to Sunday, another dry
03:11and bright day follows. There is some rain expected in the forecast for Scotland on Monday,
03:19and then some more general showers across the UK, hit and miss downpours on Tuesday
03:24and Wednesday, but no huge amounts, and then later in the week it looks likely to stay
03:30largely dry. Follow us on social media, and of course we'll keep you updated with all
03:35the latest. Bye bye.
