00:00Hi there, some bright spells today but an awful lot of showers and more persistent rain
00:05affecting the East Anglia and South East region. That's because of a weather front that's moving
00:11up from the continent and stalling for a time before pushing away later in the day. And
00:16occlusions moving through from the west will bring showery conditions to many. Now initially
00:22the heaviest showers I think Northern Ireland, Western England, Wales as well as parts of
00:28North East Scotland. Away from here some brighter and drier interludes, especially for parts
00:33of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, the Midlands, Central Southern England. But East Anglia
00:38and the South East stays cloudy and damp for much of the day, some more moderate bursts
00:43of rain for the Far East and temperatures much lower compared to Sunday, 16 to 18 Celsius
00:50at best. Similar temperatures further west but there will be some brighter spells in
00:54between the showers and those showers continue to push through during Monday evening, some
01:00more persistent rain for the North East of Scotland but for East Anglia and the South
01:05East the initial spell of rain moves away before further showers follow overnight. Away
01:10from the showers nevertheless, particularly in the north, things do tend to clear up,
01:15clear spells by the end of the night and temperatures falling to the mid to high single figures
01:20in many places but in a few spots perhaps low single figures. So a bit of a chill in
01:24the air first thing Tuesday but some brighter weather in the north especially, further showers
01:30breaking out from the word go in the south and then really for many it's just a day of
01:33sunny spells and showers. The heaviest downpours will be in the south, hail and thunder possible
01:39but there will be some sunshine especially later in the day and especially towards the
01:44west. 17 to 18 Celsius typically, 15 to 16 further north and quite a keen breeze there
01:52for the North East of Scotland, a blustery wind throughout much of the day. Into the
01:58evening further showers to come, the focus this time into eastern parts of the country,
02:03clear spells working their way in from the west and then Wednesday is a breezy day for
02:09many with some outbreaks of rain in the north. Bye bye.
