00:00Hi there, a fine weekend to come for many. The best of any warm sunny spells will be
00:05on Saturday. Sunday looks cooler, cloudier and there'll be a few showers about. One or
00:11two showers remaining for the north of Scotland on Friday night. More cloud here, keen breeze
00:16also in the far north but otherwise widely clear spells, the winds turning light and
00:23temperatures falling away in the relatively cool air that's in place across the UK. So
00:28we're looking at overnight lows, 5 to 9 Celsius, perhaps a little lower in some sheltered parts
00:34of the countryside. But a bright start despite that fresh feel first thing Saturday. Plenty
00:40of sunny skies around and temperatures soon rising as a result. Now we're going to pull
00:46in a bit more cloud into the north of Scotland, one or two showers here as well as a brisk
00:50wind from the north east and that wind also affecting the North Sea coast so it will feel
00:55cooler along the east coast. But lighter winds elsewhere and plenty of sunshine will
01:01make it feel warm enough. Temperatures reaching 21 Celsius in the south, mid to high teens
01:08further north. Now into Saturday night we see clearing skies once again fairly widely.
01:14Most places keep the light winds but a brisk wind is starting to come down from the north
01:21for the north of Scotland, North Sea coast as well. Out of the breeze it's another cool
01:26night again one or two mist patches possibly out of the breeze but temperatures again fairly
01:33widely single figures as we start off Sunday. And here's what's happening for the second
01:38half of the weekend. The high pressure that brings us a fine Saturday is drifting to the
01:42northwest that allows tighter isobars particularly for the north and the east with the wind coming
01:48down from the north. So that's going to bring cooler air to all parts on Sunday but it will
01:53be particularly noticeable in the north and east where there will be increased cloud cover
01:58as well and a few showers. One or two showers possible further west for example Wales in
02:04the southwest, they'll be well scattered however and away from the showers in the southwest
02:08there will be some sunny spells and it will still feel pleasant enough in the sunshine
02:12but temperatures certainly a few degrees down compared to Saturday afternoon's highs and
02:17really feeling quite disappointing northern and eastern Scotland, eastern England 11 or
02:2112 Celsius at best along with the cloud and those showers so it's going to be a marked
02:27contrast to Saturday that's for sure. Much more on social media but for now that's all
02:33from me, bye bye.
