00:00Hi there. After a cold start to the day for many, it's a fine afternoon. In fact, Monday

00:06likely to be the driest and brightest day of the week. Plenty of sunshine through Scotland

00:11into eastern England, a chance of one or two remaining wintry flurries in the far north-east

00:15of Scotland and a chance of a couple of rain showers towards Wales and the south-west where

00:21there is some thicker cloud about. But even here, a few breaks in the cloud, some brighter

00:26spells into the afternoon and it's towards the south-west where the highest temperatures

00:30will be, I think, 14 Celsius possible for north Devon. Otherwise, widely 10 to 12 Celsius,

00:37mid to high single figures in the north-east and east. But with light winds, actually,

00:44although the air is relatively chilly, it's going to feel pleasant in that increasingly

00:49strong March sunshine. Then the cloud mostly disappears into the evening and across eastern

00:56areas we keep those clear spells for a while, so a frost forming across central and northern

01:00Scotland. That is across, apart from Shetland where we're going to see a spell of rain and

01:06sleet, moderate to heavy bursts of rain and sleet through the night here. But otherwise,

01:10where we've got the clear skies, a frost developing and minus 3 or minus 4 Celsius possible for

01:15sheltered parts of north-east Scotland. Frost-free, meanwhile, further west where we've got thickening

01:21cloud and outbreaks of rain arriving by dawn. Those spells of wet weather, heavy at times

01:26for northern Ireland into parts of Wales, western England and western Scotland by the

01:30morning and dribs and drabs of rain crossing the country then through the morning, reaching

01:35most places by lunchtime. Although, northern Ireland, parts of Wales and south-west England

01:42clear the more persistent rain by the end of the afternoon. Brighter skies following

01:46for northern Ireland and some heavy downpours. But actually, northern Ireland seeing the

01:50highest temperatures, 14 Celsius possible here. 11 to 13 for Wales and the south-west

01:56but it's going to feel chilly, I think, where we've got that frosty start and then the cloud

02:00and those outbreaks of rain arriving into the east and north-east. Shetland, dry and

02:05bright until the end of the day, I think. An increasing breeze across all parts, however,

02:11that's going to add to the chilly feel, I think, in the east. And then we keep a lot

02:14of cloud cover through Tuesday nights. Further showers continuing for parts of northern Ireland

02:18into western Scotland by this stage, western parts of England. Some breaks in the cloud

02:23but it's going to be a frost-free night. We've got this milder air moving in and that milder

02:27air coming from the south-west with low pressure beginning to dominate things once again mid-week

02:33onwards. These areas of low pressure, these weather fronts bringing us spells of wet weather.

02:39So Wednesday, another bout of rain moving across the country. Thursday, scattered showers

02:45and then Friday, the potential for more wet and windy weather. Bye bye.
