Transcript
00:00The final day of June is looking very different from the previous three or so
00:05weeks. We're seeing outbreaks of rain and a fresher feel to things. About three
00:10thirds the evening, a fine evening across much of England, Wales, southern Scotland.
00:14Shimmery bursts of rain continue across central and northern areas of Scotland
00:17and then the cloud thickens across Northern Ireland, Wales and the West
00:20Country with some outbreaks of rain. Bit of a cooler feel to things as we start
00:24the day on Friday across eastern counties. It will be bright with some
00:28sunshine. Let's pick up on those showers then first thing across the far north of
00:32Scotland, northwest as well. More cloud across western Scotland. Showery rain
00:36continues to move in across Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Wales, the West
00:39Country. But notice across northern England, the Midlands, East Anglia, the
00:43South East, Lincolnshire, a fine morning with some sunny spells. The cloud will
00:47slowly thicken though through the morning. The winds will pick up across
00:51the northwest of Scotland as this rain gradually becomes more persistent across
00:56mainland Scotland, northern Ireland, the far north of England. Showers elsewhere
01:01coming and going. They could merge across the far southwest with some dry skies
01:04towards the southeast and here temperatures typically coming in around
01:0821, 22, 23 degrees Celsius. Now as we head through the evening this rain continues
01:14to push towards the east as well as the south and then the air turns fresher from
01:19the northwest as we head into Saturday morning. But we hang on to some muggier
01:23conditions across the far south and east through Saturday morning, again with some
01:28showery bursts of rain. But notice here across the northwest of Scotland, the
01:32winds will pick up some strength through Saturday as this area of low pressure
01:35tracks towards the north of Scotland and we'll see some quite hefty showers
01:39through the day. Elsewhere it's a fine day, it's a relatively warm one as
01:44temperatures rise quite nicely. Some sunny spells coming through across much
01:47of England and Wales. Some sunshine also for northern Ireland, northern England,
01:51southern Scotland. Here's your outlook then through Sunday. Still windy across
01:55the far north and that's where we'll see the heaviest showers. See you later.
