00:00Hello there welcome to a weather update from the Met Office. Now through
00:04Wednesday very warm across more southern areas, humid across most parts with some
00:09rain just pushing in from the west. Back through Tuesday evening you can see
00:12this more persistent rain clearing towards the North Sea and then a legacy
00:17of clouds and patchy rain and drizzle particularly over the hills and exposed
00:21to the southwest wind but some holes in the clouds will develop across the
00:25eastern side of Scotland. The main feature of the weather further south though is
00:29how warm it will remain temperatures holding around 16 or 17 degrees Celsius
00:34slightly fresher towards the northeast. Now first thing on Wednesday morning a
00:38rather cloudy start to the day perhaps some brightness and sunshine across
00:42eastern Scotland holes in the cloud towards eastern England but notice this
00:45rain becomes persistent again as it pushes in across Northern Ireland
00:48elsewhere that cloud comes and goes and we could see some patchy rain and drizzle
00:52particularly over the hills. This rain though here moves towards the southwest
00:57of Scotland showers break out ahead of it across northern counts of England the
01:01Midlands as well as Wales one or two heavy ones can't be ruled out with the
01:04risk of thunder as we see some showers filing and some brighter weather for the
01:09northwest of Scotland and Northern Ireland but look at these temperatures
01:11down towards the southeast 25-26 degrees Celsius feeling very warm and muggy. Now
01:17through Wednesday evening we watch as this weather front here continues to
01:22slide down towards the southeast so some wet weather to come it'll be
01:26sporadic but we hang on to cloud here and again a muggy night fresher across
01:31the north as well as the west with some clearer skies a few showers for the
01:34Western Isles as we see the rain just file in and perhaps turn a little bit
01:38heavier towards the early hours of the morning across central southern England
01:41East Anglia as well as the southeast. Elsewhere through Thursday a slight
01:46ridge of high pressure bringing with it some brighter weather some sunshine you
01:49can see this rain could turn heavy as we head through the day towards the
01:52southeast before it slowly clears and showers could break out elsewhere
01:56there'll be a scattered affair but one or two could turn heavy. Temperatures
02:00then typically coming in around the high teens if not the low 20s more clouds and
02:05outbreaks of rain arrive on Friday across the north as well as the west we
02:09hang on to fine and dry weather further south and east with some sunshine coming
02:13through and then come Friday this is that rain pushing in some winds pick up
02:17as well as it again pushes down towards the southeast and then come Saturday a
02:22warm day a few showers but they'll turn fresher from the north and the west on
02:26Sunday with some showery bursts of rain coming in merging to form longer spells
02:30of rain and again some strong winds towards the northwest a more of a
02:34settled day further south and east with some sunshine
