00:00Hello there and welcome to your forecast into Wednesday. Here are your headlines.
00:04Showery rain for Western Scotland and Northern Ireland, but the promise of some warm sunshine through Wednesday further east and south.
00:12For the time being, that's Tuesday evening, some late sunshine to end the day across many areas.
00:17Still that brisk breeze towards the far southeast, the clouds melting away here, but Western Scotland seeing the cloud roll in,
00:23as well as Northern Ireland and some showery rain just gradually extending across these parts.
00:28Poor visibility with low cloud anywhere from Western Scotland down towards Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
00:33That rain extends also towards the far northwest of Wales, bits and spots for Cumbria, the southwest of Scotland.
00:40But under clearer skies further east and south, temperatures dipping into single figures,
00:45a bit of a chilly start to the day come Wednesday morning, but with some sunshine.
00:50First thing, though, on Wednesday morning, it's a wet morning for Western Scotland.
00:55You can see their low, misty clouds extending towards Northern Ireland as well as far northwest of Wales.
01:00Towards the east, though, some clearer skies, some sunshine to start the day.
01:04And that sunshine extends across much of England and Wales away from West Wales, where there will be more in the way of clouds
01:09and Pembrokeshire perhaps even seeing some spits and spots of rain.
01:13So first of all, let's pick up on the rain and the distribution of that wet weather as we head through Wednesday.
01:19A lot of it will be over the sea, but even so, Western Scotland always been affected by that wet weather,
01:24extending down towards the Isle of Man, Anglesey and coming and going across the western side of Wales.
01:30And we could see where the clouds is thick enough, a little bit of rain across Lancashire as well as Cumbria.
01:35A few showers breaking out ahead of it across eastern parts of Scotland.
01:39If we add on the cloud, you can see there's always going to be a bit more clouds across the northern half of the UK.
01:44But even so, the clouds will break up at times, allowing some sunshine.
01:47A much better day to come towards the southeast with some sunshine.
01:51The clouds coming and going through the afternoon may build for a time.
01:55Even so, it will be dry here and a lot warmer than the last 24 hours,
01:59where we've seen a lot of cloud outbreaks of rain and a brisk breeze towards the southeast.
02:04So here's your distribution of the cloud and the rain around mid-afternoon.
02:08Temperatures then in the sunshine coming in around 20 to 23 degrees Celsius,
02:12feeling warm and pleasant with just a light breeze.
02:16Now that cloud and rain towards the northwest sticks around through Thursday and it will just come and go.
02:22But as you can see, it sinks down towards the south on Friday,
02:26introducing the chance of some showers here, which actually turn thundery for a time.
02:31And then it turns a lot more settled across Scotland and Northern Ireland with even some sunshine coming through.
02:37That weak weather front bringing with it some patchy rain across the far north through the beginning of the weekend
02:43and then towards the south, yes, the chance of rain or showers, particularly on Sunday.
02:47So stay tuned to the forecast and we'll keep you updated.
02:50Here's your summary. Bye bye.
