00:00Hello there. Low pressure sits towards the north of Scotland and that's where
00:05we'll see rain or showers. At the same time a surge of much warmer and humid
00:10air will deliver the chance of thunderstorms as we head into Thursday
00:15morning towards the far southeast. But generally speaking it's rain or showers
00:19through the next few days and temperatures slowly cooling down as well.
00:24Yes things look a little bit cooler as we head into the weekend with again the
00:29chance of rain or showers. This low-pressure system is slow moving a
00:33squeeze on the ice bars on Friday brings some stronger winds to the far
00:37west there and again always the chance of rain or showers. Now through Wednesday
00:42evening this area of cloud and rain gradually moves from North Wales towards
00:46northern counts of England pushing towards border regions. At the same time
00:50showery bursts of rain continue overnight pushing ever northwards. A few
00:55showers for Northern Ireland but some clearer skies here and we'll see some
00:58clearer skies across the Midlands as well as East Anglia. At the same time
01:01notice for the Channel Islands some heavy thundery showers and showers could
01:06just about clip the far south where it will remain muggy into Thursday morning.
01:11So it's quite a messy picture on Thursday morning. Some heavy pulses of
01:16rain to start the day across the far north pushing very slowly towards
01:20Shetland where the winds will pick up. Returning showers continue to affect
01:24western side of Scotland clearer skies towards the east. Northern Ireland
01:28getting away with a bright start but you will see showers here and then this
01:31way the cloud extends from far southwest towards mid Wales and eastern counts of
01:37England. Through the morning then you can see this area of thunderstorms which
01:42will give a glancing blow towards the far southeast before clearing away. Most
01:47of the heaviest rain will be across the near continent and then the cloud will
01:52break with a few showers to follow. Showers will be heavy across western
01:56Scotland with the risk of thunder towards the far north as we see that
02:00persistent rain clearing Caithness but pushing up towards Shetland. Windy here.
02:05Elsewhere some sunshine to end the day. Northern England, Wales, the West Country
02:09still those showers continuing to feed in across Scotland as well as the north
02:14and the west of Northern Ireland and temperatures towards the southeast could
02:17again reach around 24-25 degrees Celsius but fresher further west. And that pretty
02:22much sets the scene through Friday and into the weekend. Always more clouds
02:27towards the northwest. Showers elsewhere. No one immune to that wet weather across
02:31Scotland and Northern Ireland. Perhaps some dry skies on Friday towards the
02:35southeast but showers coming and going being slow moving across many other
02:40parts of England and Wales and temperatures typically around average
02:43for this time of year. Low pressure stays with us to the east of the UK on
02:48Saturday. Again the chance of those showers just coming and going and here's
02:53your outlook further south on Saturday. Again yes we'll see a mix of clouds
02:57showers just moving in and temperatures struggling a little bit where you catch
03:01the odd heavier burst. So that's the picture on Saturday. Here's that low
03:06pressure clearing towards the North Sea and then this weather front on Saturday
03:10into Sunday. Again keeping things showery through the beginning of the
03:15weekend. A slight ridge then moves in through the latter part of Saturday
03:19pushing ever eastwards before another system moves in on Sunday. This is an
03:25area of cloud and some outbreaks of rain. The winds will pick up some strength as
03:28it slides down towards the southeast and we return to showers on Monday. So all
03:34in all yes it's a relatively unsettled picture. Rain or showers. Still some
03:38warmth in the air towards the southeast where we will see some sunshine. Stronger
03:42winds from time to time towards the north as well as the west.
