00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Showers in the mix through the next few days, we hang on to some warmth
00:08across more southern counties, turning cooler with low pressure close by
00:12across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Now through Wednesday
00:16this ridge of high pressure keeps things fairly quiet, a little weak weather front could bring
00:20a little rain first thing towards Wales as well as the Midlands, but then notice
00:24this, this is an area of low pressure which will be fairly slow moving
00:28towards the north-northwest of Scotland, keeping things showery and rather
00:32cool. At the same time there's a chance of some showers just brushing
00:36southern counties in between some quieter weather.
00:40Now for Tuesday evening, you can see some showery rain across the central belt of Scotland
00:44clipping Northern Ireland, pushing down towards northern counties
00:48clearer skies across the central swathe of Scotland and northern parts as well
00:52that's where it's going to turn cool as rain becomes confined to Shetland
00:56Elsewhere some mist and fog possible across central southern parts of England
01:00and then thickening cloud through the early hours of the morning will eventually bring
01:04some patchy rain to southern parts of Wales. Temperatures here
01:08around 13 or 14, but in the glens of Scotland we could see
01:12a 6 or 7. So first thing then on Wednesday morning
01:16a bright start across eastern and central parts of Scotland, further showers
01:20likely across the western fringe of Scotland as well as the far north.
01:24But this rain here never really amounting to very much, it's sliding towards the midlands
01:28more cloud as it slowly clears towards the east through the afternoon
01:32Brighter skies towards the south as well as the south-east. Showers will develop
01:36though across Scotland, the far north of England. One or two just moving in across
01:40Northern Ireland, certainly more cloud across western Scotland. Here are your
01:44temperatures through the afternoon. Fresh towards the north-west, 17 in
01:48shelter across Scotland, north-east England 2021. 19 for Northern Ireland
01:5223 though for southern parts of Wales, slightly higher towards the south-east
01:56of England. Your cities list across Scotland and Northern Ireland on
02:00Thursday. Temperatures around average, again always the chance of some showers
02:04Now further south, yes we could see some showers particularly across southern counties
02:08One or two heavy ones can't be ruled out. Further north though, some quieter weather
02:12some sunshine coming through. Temperatures typically around 21, 22
02:16degrees Celsius. Now on Friday across Scotland and Northern Ireland
02:20again the chance of some showers. They could merge to form longer spells of rain
02:24that low pressure never too far away. And further south some quieter conditions
02:28particularly towards the south as well as the south-east. Temperatures are notched down in the south
02:3219 to 22 degrees Celsius. And further north
02:36feeling rather cool with that low pressure just sitting across these parts
