00:00Strong winds will continue to be a feature of our weather over the next few days. It has been the
00:05case over the last 24 hours with some high waves across Scotland and gales through Wednesday
00:11evening become confined to Shetland as this batch of heavy weather moves from the west
00:16towards the northeast. Expect some heavy bursts of rain causing problems on the roads with a
00:20driving wind and then a clearer slot of weather just moves in through the early hours of the
00:25morning but rain returns to Northern Ireland pushing towards southwest Scotland covering the
00:29Isle of Man as well as Anglesey. More showers gather across the far south. Temperatures then
00:34a bit lower than what we've seen certainly a bit of a chilly start to the day across Scotland but
00:38there will be some sunshine around. Now through the morning this area of showery rain extends
00:43across the central belt covering much of northern England pushing down towards west Wales. Further
00:49showers also across more southern areas and they will develop in situ through the afternoon. The
00:54sun's getting stronger in the sky. Some could turn heavy with the risk of thunder. More showery
01:00rain arrives across Northern Ireland later and we'll see cloud thicken across more southern parts
01:04of England and here's some rain towards evening time extending towards East Anglia. Temperatures
01:10then typically around 12 to 14 degrees celsius. Now through Thursday evening this rain across the
01:16southeast will tend to clear through evening time and overnight. More showers will track northwards
01:22and then this is an area of low pressure which will move in so the winds will pick up further
01:26strength into the early hours of Friday morning. Expect gales developing particularly across the
01:32Irish sea coast, channel coast as well. The winds will pick up so we'll see some strong gusts but a
01:36bit of a bright start to the day across more eastern areas with some sunshine. These showers
01:41will be frequent and heavy across the west though extending further east through the day so another
01:47showery day. Some sunshine in between but you can see these showers will turn heavy and band together
01:52through Friday afternoon. Temperatures then typically coming in around 11 to 14 degrees
01:58celsius but wind again will be a feature of the weather. Cold air then intrudes from the north
02:03through the weekend. This area of cloud and rain here could see some snow on its back edge above
02:09around 300 meters. Temperatures remain slightly milder towards more southern areas but more clouds
02:14and some outbreaks of rain here and then come Sunday that cold air extends further south
02:19with the chance of some wintry showers in the northeast. Bye bye.
