00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update. Now through the next few days it remains lively
00:05wet and windy weather at times, sunshine in between and temperatures above average but
00:09through the early hours of Wednesday morning expect strong winds covering much of the country
00:14and there's a wind warning in force for central and western areas of Scotland. Gusts inland
00:18could reach 60 miles an hour along the west coast, 75 miles an hour with some high waves
00:23but notice a slight ridging in those isobars through the latter part of the day. The winds
00:27will ease. Before that though through Tuesday evening wet weather covering much of the western
00:31half of the country moves quite quickly eastwards. Dry skies towards the far southeast as well
00:36as the northern isle as well we see some clearer skies but notice these winds really picking
00:40up some strength, they're going to be quite potent through the early hours of the morning
00:43as the rain clears these parts but also some showers to follow which will be heavy. Look
00:47at these temperatures though, it will be a mild start to the day come Wednesday morning
00:51but for some it will be wet. So let's take a look at the detail for the far north of
00:55Scotland, yes eventually you'll see that rain. Here's that showery rain which will
00:59be persistent and heavy, snow over the highest ground and watch out for those winds, gales
01:03if not severe gales for a time. We hang on to some sunshine first thing across southern
01:07Scotland, northern Ireland a few showers waiting the wings here, much of the Midlands, Wales,
01:11the West Country, northern England but towards the southeast that's where we'll see the clouds
01:15and also some pulses of rain which eventually will clear. So a window of some dry weather
01:20across the central sway of the country, northwest always seeing that showery rain which will
01:25be heavy and then eventually we'll see some showers developing and trundling north northeastwards
01:30and again they could be heavy through the day with the risk of thunder. So through the
01:34morning into the afternoon we watch as these showers move across the country and then another
01:38system waits in the wings and again we can see some really heavy rain associated with
01:43that. Before that though in any shelter temperatures could reach 10 to 16 degrees Celsius, still
01:48an overhang of clouds across the far southeast as we end Wednesday. So through Wednesday
01:53night eventually that area of rain will move northwards towards most parts of the country,
02:00most places seeing some wet weather then and then some clearer skies yet again it really
02:03is a repeat pattern before more showery rain arrives across northern Ireland through the
02:08early hours of the morning. Clearer skies elsewhere but heavy showers waiting in the
02:12wings and still a fresh wind coming in from a mild direction on Thursday yet again. So
02:17if you catch some sunshine not feeling too bad certainly for central parts of Scotland
02:21you'll see some fine conditions before this showery rain moves northwards and the risk
02:25of showers elsewhere with some sunshine in between. Here are your temperatures 12 to
02:2915, 16 degrees Celsius. I'll see you later.
