00:00Hello there and welcome to your forecast into Wednesday. Here are your headlines for the next
00:0524 hours, mixed fortunes with our weather. More cloud towards the west elsewhere, another very
00:10warm day, particularly across central and eastern areas as temperatures climb into the 20s.
00:15Now through Tuesday evening, it's pleasant across many areas, some late and warm sunshine
00:20to end the day, just a light breeze. Then overnight under some starry skies,
00:24we could see some mist and fog developing across central southern England,
00:28patches across East Anglia. Elsewhere towards the west, thickening clouds will bring some
00:32patchy rain to the Western Isles as well as western parts of Scotland, particularly on the
00:35upslopes. Some spots of rain also for Northern Ireland and along the shoreline of West Wales,
00:41Cornwall, we could see some low misty cloud. It's going to be a fine start to the day across
00:47eastern Scotland. Further west, always more in the way of cloud and again we'll see some outbreaks
00:52of rain just coming and going. A bit of a breeze across the north channel, you see that cloud
00:57extends down towards Northern Ireland, some showery bits and pieces here, more cloud for
01:01Cumbria but we extend that sunshine anywhere from Northumberland, Yorkshire, right the way down
01:06towards Kent as well as central southern England. East Wales also doing very well, Somerset to Devon
01:11but for Cornwall along the coastline, you'll always see low misty cloud here. West Wales,
01:16a similar situation. So through Wednesday, for the bulk of the country, it's fine and dry with
01:22some strong sunshine and high UV levels. Always more clouds across Scotland but even so, you'll
01:27get away with some brighter weather through the afternoon eastern Scotland. One or two showers
01:31across the far north-east of Scotland, still some patchy rain here, poor visibility across
01:35western Scotland and for Northern Ireland, more in the way of cloud, some brighter skies in
01:39shelter coming through towards the south-east. West Wales seeing more cloud here and the cloud
01:43could encroach across central parts of Wales as well as Devon and Somerset. In the sunshine
01:48though, temperatures rising rapidly through the day, 22 to 27 degrees Celsius. Here's your bigger
01:55picture into the weekend. As you can see here, we've got a cold front sinking its way southwards,
02:00still that low cloud shrouding coastlines of Wales as well as the west country, northwest England,
02:05perhaps even the Isle of Man, eastern parts of Northern Ireland but that cold front does sink
02:10its way southwards. The rain dies out across Scotland, just a bit of clouds across the
02:14Midlands, north-east England as we head through Friday and then a ridge of high pressure extends
02:18from the south through the weekend. Temperatures rise even further, feeling hot in the south-east,
02:24very warm elsewhere with some sunshine.
