00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office. Now over the
00:04next few days we lose the intensity of the heat across more southern areas, even
00:09so it's still very warm and then the heat builds again from the south
00:13southeast through Saturday and into Sunday with an extreme heat warning in
00:17place from Sunday and into Monday across much of England and Wales. For the time
00:21being that's Tuesday evening more in the way of clouds sinking down across
00:25England and Wales. Showers feed in across the north and the west of Scotland with
00:29a keen breeze but many areas will be dry and still rather sticking outside
00:33across central and southern parts of England and Wales with temperatures
00:37dipping no lower than around 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. Fresher further north
00:42temperatures around 10 or 11 degrees Celsius and again that keen wind
00:46towards the northwest of Scotland. So first thing on Wednesday morning more in
00:52the way of clouds across Shetland as well as Orkney, Caithness as well and a
00:55little bit of showery rain. Some showers running in across western Scotland
00:59towards more central areas and one or two clipping the far north of Northern
01:03Ireland. But for the bulk of England and Wales it's a fine day with warm sunshine
01:07and even some brighter weather coming through as the only showers die away
01:12across Scotland and Northern Ireland. So a bright end to the day here with again
01:16some sunny spells. Now in the southeast temperatures still climbing to around 27
01:2128 degrees Celsius. Further north though we'll see around 18 to 21 pleasantly
01:26warm in that sunshine sheltered from the wind coming in from the west. So that's
01:32Wednesday. Come Thursday temperatures typically around 20 degrees Celsius but
01:37for southern parts of England and Wales climbing to the mid 20s, 27 for London.
01:42Again helped with some sunshine a few showers though across the north. And then
01:46into Sunday it's a similar situation although through the morning we could
01:50see more cloud running in across the central swathe of the country and even a
01:54little bit of showery rain. So you can see this weather front just sliding down
01:58through the early hours of Friday morning hitting that high pressure
02:01though so weakening all the while. And then that high builds from the south.
02:05Again across the far north we could see a little rain from time to time as
02:10weather fronts skirt these parts. And then here's your amber warning for
02:14extreme heat across much of England and Wales through Sunday and into Monday. So
02:19stay tuned to the forecast. Obviously we'll keep you posted here on all our
02:23social media channels and I'll see you soon.
