00:00Hello there welcome to a weather update from the Met Office. Showers in the

00:04forecast over the next few days before things warm up and brighten up across

00:08more southern and eastern areas into the weekend. At the same time clouds and rain

00:12will arrive on Friday night across the northwest. For the time being it's

00:16pleasant outside on Tuesday evening across the western half of the UK as

00:20showers fade away further east. They will continue though across Shetland as well

00:25as Orkney, the Western Isles and even northern and western parts of the

00:28mainland of Scotland. Inland though some starry skies overnight, a dry end to the

00:34night but temperatures dipping down to single figures so a cool start to the

00:39day come Wednesday morning particularly in the countryside. But many areas

00:43dawning bright and dry with some sunshine. Still a few passing showers

00:47across the highlands of Scotland and maybe a little bit more cloud towards

00:51the southeast. But through the day the cloud will generally build and we'll see

00:55a scattering of showers. Now these showers will be fairly slow moving

00:59mostly light, some places won't see any at all and there'll still be some

01:04brighter skies coming through particularly across more western parts

01:07of the country before more cloud arrives across Cornwall and Devon later

01:11heralding some showery bits and pieces through evening time. So through the

01:16afternoon temperatures will rise in any brighter moments around 18 or 19 for

01:20Scotland and Northern Ireland, 22 for the northern part of England as well as

01:24Wales, but 24 or 25 down towards the southeast. So that's Wednesday for you

01:29mostly light winds away from the far north of Scotland. Come Thursday a legacy

01:34of cloud will still produce some showers particularly across this central swathe

01:38of the country. Brighter skies across the far north of Scotland as well as the far

01:42southeast. Things slowly warm up into Friday though could even turn very warm

01:46across the southeast. Again the chance of a few showers particularly towards the

01:50north as well as the west and into the weekend very warm across more southern

01:54and eastern areas as cloud and rain arrives on Friday evening across the

01:59north as well as the west of the country. Bye bye.
