00:00Hello there. Another very warm or even hot day on Wednesday across much of the country
00:06before we watch towards the southwest as a thundery breakdown takes place. Into Wednesday
00:11as well as Thursday, warnings have been issued. Now let's have a look at those warnings. Through
00:17Wednesday from about lunchtime, this thunderstorm warning extends from the west country towards
00:22southern parts of Wales. Through Wednesday night and into Thursday, further showers will
00:26push ever northwards, reaching Northern Ireland, much of England and Wales. Again, with the
00:30risk of thunder, but certainly they will ramp up, helped with the strength of the sun through
00:34Thursday. So here's your warning zone through Thursday, anywhere from Wales, the Midlands
00:38up towards Northern England as well as Northern Ireland. Let's backtrack to Tuesday. A pleasant
00:44evening for most, dry for most as well, with some sunshine to end the day. Always more
00:49clouds across the far north of Scotland, that cloud coming and going, and some drier weather
00:54here mostly. Towards the southwest, this weak weather front here will introduce more
00:59cloud, the chance of a shower, and the winds will turn quite gusty, particularly over the
01:03moors. Elsewhere, it's a quiet evening. Watch out overnight for some mist and fog, especially
01:08across Northern Ireland, southwest Scotland and northern England. Temperatures holding
01:12up, it's going to feel muggy across many areas. Values coming in around 15 to 18 degrees Celsius,
01:20leading into a fine start to Wednesday morning. Now certainly Scotland will see some very
01:25high temperatures through Wednesday, helped with the sun from very early on. The fog will
01:30slowly burn off across Northern Ireland, across much of England and Wales, it's a fine start
01:35to the day. Now down towards Devon Cornwall as well as southern parts of Wales. Notice
01:40here there's a bit more cloud, a bit more breeze as well, but waiting in the wings will
01:43be some showers which will gradually migrate their way northwards through the morning and
01:48into the afternoon. Elsewhere, Wednesday will prove to be a fine day with some very
01:54warm sunshine, and we will get away with a dry day until much later on across many other
02:00parts. But notice by around lunchtime, there's a thunderstorm warning in force for the west
02:05country, southern parts of Wales, and these showers just gradually move across these parts.
02:10They'll come and go, some places will see drier weather, no showers at all, but if you
02:15catch one, it could turn quite heavy, as well as thundering. Here are your temperatures
02:19then. Well Scotland perhaps could see a 28, down towards the south we could see a 30.
02:24On the periphery towards the far south-west around 23, 24, but it will lead into a muggy
02:28night on Wednesday night. So here's your outlook for the next few days. Low pressure replaces
02:34high pressure, and what that means, it's slow moving, delivering cloud, showery bursts of
02:40rain with the risk of thunder through Thursday and perhaps even into Friday. Although Scotland
02:45will hang on to some drier weather through Thursday, but you'll see your fair share of
02:48showers during Friday. And the winds will pick up a little strength towards the north.
02:52So here's your outlook through Thursday. You can see here the risk of thunderstorms, particularly
02:57across the central swathe of the country. Showers further south as well, a little sunshine
03:01in the forecast towards the south, further north, yes we'll see more in the way of clouds
03:05as we head through to Friday. All in all, it turns a bit more unsettled through the
03:09latter part of the working week. Always the chance of showers into the weekend as well,
03:14but some good news, things tend to dry up through Saturday and into Sunday. And what
03:20that means, yes, you should see some brighter weather, some drier conditions, although certainly
03:24temperatures not going to be as high as Wednesday. Bye bye.
