00:00Hello there. A band of rain will move across the country through Tuesday night and into
00:05Wednesday with some showers to follow. But through Wednesday afternoon in any sunshine,
00:11temperatures will recover quite nicely, feeling quite warm. For the time being though, that's
00:15Tuesday into Wednesday, it's a fine evening across Scotland and northern England. Notice
00:20this rain though towards the south west pushing ever northward. So some wet weather to come
00:24for at least a couple of hours. We could even see some moderate if not heavy downpours,
00:28particularly across northern England, the far south east of England as well as east
00:31Anglia. Showers will follow towards the south west and the winds will pick up some strength.
00:35But generally temperatures will be on the mild side, away from the north of Scotland
00:39where we'll see temperatures dip down to single figures under some clearer skies, but at least
00:43we'll see a bright start to the day here. Not the case across the western parts of Scotland,
00:48down towards the central belt, Northumberland, clipping east Anglia as well as Lincolnshire
00:53in the south east for a time. So some heavy bursts to come here. Northern Ireland will
00:57see some brighter weather to start the day, but the rain will return. Winds will pick
01:01up here as well as Irish sea coast. And you can see some showers gathering towards the
01:05west country as well as southern parts of Wales. But a bright start to the day for central
01:09southern England, the Midlands, eastern parts of Wales. But showers will develop in situ
01:14and they will be slow moving and heavy through the morning into the afternoon as this rain
01:18across the central belt of Scotland pretty much grinds to a halt. We'll lose this intensity
01:23but patchy rain and drizzle just coming right the way through the afternoon across the southern
01:26highlands, border regions, central belt of Scotland. Towards the north of that you'll
01:30see some brighter skies through the day. And those showers you can see will be slow moving
01:34as we see more persistent rain for a time, just clearing far south of Northern Ireland
01:38later on. But showers will follow here. So sunshine and showers through the afternoon.
01:43In the sunshine temperatures typically coming in around 17, 18 in the north up to around
01:4722 degrees Celsius further south. So through the evening and overnight we watch as this
01:53rain pretty much hovers across this central and northern part of the country. Always more
01:58in the way of cloud. But notice towards the west, that's where we'll see the winds pick
02:02up some strength and outbreaks of rain. And this will mean an unsettled end to the working
02:08week. However before that a brief ridge of high pressure will bring some fine weather
02:13on Thursday morning with some sunshine before that band of rain moves in. And then the winds
02:17will pick up some strength particularly towards the northwest. And it seems to be windy here.
02:21So showers if not severe gales for a time. Showers then will follow. Heavy showers at that.
02:25Some cloud and rain across the far south on Friday but that will clear. So an improving
02:29picture into the weekend. Certainly in the south with some sunshine. Eventually on Sunday
02:33many areas will settle down as the winds lose their strength. Bye bye.
