00:00An injection of warmth pushes across the country over the next few days but
00:05always some rain around. In fact that's how we see the next 24 hours. Two
00:09weather fronts close by. A battle on through Wednesday and into Thursday
00:14with that colder air towards the north. Milder conditions wafting in from the
00:18southwest and this area of low pressure here will bring some stronger winds
00:21through Thursday and also some outbreaks of rain as this front across Scotland
00:26and Northern Ireland skirts towards the north with some dry skies to follow.
00:29You'll see the milder air just pushing its way northwards. We hang on to the
00:32colder air though for the Northern Isles through Friday. Temperatures here
00:36single figures by this point yet again. Now through Wednesday evening a little
00:41bit of showery rain across the southeast of Scotland. More clouds across southern
00:45counties and this rain across Northern Ireland just clipping the far west and
00:48north pushes up towards western fringes of Scotland. Cloud thickening ahead of it.
00:53Towards the north there starry skies and a frost but always more clouds to end
00:58the night across England and Wales. Perhaps some brighter skies just across
01:02the North Midlands towards Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, northern parts of Wales
01:06where temperatures could dip down to around three or four degrees Celsius.
01:09First thing then on Thursday morning this rain just pushes over northwards
01:14covering much of Scotland away from the far north through the morning. Snow above
01:17around 400 meters and then this more intense band of rain arrives across
01:22Wales, the West Country, central southern England. Notice these brighter echoes
01:26representing some more intense bursts as it slowly moves towards the Midlands as
01:31well as East Anglia covering much of Wales. Whereas for Scotland you'll see
01:36some dry skies across southern and central parts to end the day and a drier
01:41end for Northern Ireland as well as Northern England where through the day
01:45you won't see much in the way of wet weather. It will eventually arrive across
01:48these parts through Thursday night though you can see this low pressure
01:51system just hitting towards the Irish Sea pushing very slowly eastwards. So we
01:56see some dry weather coming in across the south into the early hours of Friday
02:01morning and temperatures still on the mild side here but a wet start to Friday
02:05across northern parts of Wales, northern counties of England, showery bursts
02:09across Scotland and more clouds across Northern Ireland. So through Friday we
02:14watch as this low pressure clears towards the North Sea. So an improving
02:17picture, there will be some breaks in the cloud, there will be some sunshine as
02:21the rain becomes confined to the Northern Isles, certainly Shetland through
02:24the latter part of Friday and temperatures are on the up coming in in
02:28the sunshine 16 to 18 if not 19 degrees Celsius. Into the weekend lots of coastal
02:34cloud particularly across Irish Seacoast, northeastern coastline as well. Some
02:39heavy showers which could become a bit more frequent on a Sunday with the risk
02:44of thunder but it will feel warmer away from the far north where we'll see some
02:49cloud and also some patchy rain. Bye bye.
