00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. We'll see a mixed bag of weather
00:04across the UK today, a mixture of sunshine and showers but things turning even more unsettled
00:08as we go through Monday into Tuesday. Storm Kathleen's moving off the scene now but notice
00:12low pressure gathering once again towards the south and south west and it's this area
00:16of low pressure that will bring more wind and rain to pretty much all of the UK through
00:20Monday into Tuesday. Back to this afternoon, it's a case of sunshine and showers, very
00:25blustery winds up towards the west of Scotland, a warning in force here throughout the day,
00:29gusts of wind up to around 60 mph or so at times, particularly as those showers come
00:32through and notice a line of showers working in across the far south west of England into
00:37parts of Wales and Midlands and parts of northern England too. The best of the sunshine this
00:41afternoon generally developing towards the south east of England and here we'll see the
00:44highest temperatures too, up to 16 or 17 Celsius, 17 is 63 in Fahrenheit, but feeling colder
00:50towards the north with those blustery winds, temperatures here of around 12 or 13 degrees
00:54at best. As we go into the evening and during the overnight period, those showers towards
00:58the south will tend to ease for a time but notice more rain gathering there towards the
01:02far south west and that will push up in across parts of Wales and south west England into
01:06the early hours of Monday, whereas towards the north the showers will tend to ease as
01:09will the winds and we'll start to see some clear spells developing. Here turning quite
01:13chilly in rural spots by Monday morning, could see lows of around 4 or 5 degrees, whereas
01:17towards the south with the cloud, wind and rain coming back in, those temperatures tend
01:20to hold up fairly well. As for Monday, well we'll see some brightness for a time across
01:24the south and east of England but notice showy bursts of rain working up from the south
01:28as we go through the day. Certainly into the afternoon some of those bursts of rain will
01:32turn quite heavy, whereas Northern Ireland will get off to a fine start seeing some rain
01:36arriving later in the day and for much of Scotland a much better day than on Sunday.
01:40Here we'll see lighter winds too and in the sunshine it shouldn't feel too bad. Temperatures
01:44across the north of the UK are up to around 12 degrees, 54 in Fahrenheit, whereas towards
01:49the south and south east warmer but notice with those outbreaks of rain coming in not
01:53feeling quite as warm. That's pretty much it for me but of course you can keep tuned
01:57to the Met Office forecast by following us on social media and subscribing to our YouTube
02:01channel. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
