Transcript
00:00Hello, good afternoon. We'll hold on to rather unsettled weather across the UK over the next
00:04few days. We'll also see some outbreaks of rain at times, but stay mild for the time
00:07being at least. This weather front is taking outbreaks of rain away from the south east
00:11of England. A small ridge of high pressure building in briefly overnight tonight, but
00:15further weather systems moving in from the west and these will maintain outbreaks of
00:18rain and fairly blustery conditions across the UK at times too.
00:23So back to the detail for this afternoon. Outbreaks of rain clearing from the south
00:25east as we go into the first part of the afternoon. Elsewhere it's a case of sunshine, a few
00:29showers around, particularly towards the south, but plenty of bright weather around. A little
00:33bit breezy too, but very mild for the time of year. Temperatures ranging from 11 or 12
00:38degrees towards the north there, that's the mid 50s in Fahrenheit. Up to 14 or 15 down
00:42towards the south and south east. 15 is 59 in Fahrenheit.
00:47As we go into the evening and during the overnight period, showers will tend to ease from the
00:50south and south east fairly quickly and we'll see plenty of clear weather around. Some mist
00:54and fog patches forming, particularly across Wales and the south west of England. Whereas
00:58towards the north and west, outbreaks of rain working their way in from the west across
01:01Scotland and Northern Ireland, reaching Wales and the north of England by the end of the
01:05night, with blustery showers then tucking in towards the far north west by the morning
01:09tomorrow. Temperature wise, well falling lower than 4 or 5 degrees towards the north. 5 Celsius
01:15there is 41 in Fahrenheit, so generally frost free and temperatures holding up in the south
01:19at near 8 or 9 degrees. As for Monday, well outbreaks of rain continue
01:23their journey south eastwards across England and Wales. That band of rain weakening on
01:27the while, so fairly patchy rain for the south east by the lunchtime period. Whereas
01:31towards the north and west it's a day of sunshine and showers. Showers very blustery, quite
01:35heavy towards the north and west of Scotland, with some more general outbreaks of rain reaching
01:40the west of Scotland by the very end of the afternoon. Temperatures stay mild, perhaps
01:44a bit cooler in the north than on Sunday, but still up to 9 to 11 Celsius, but peaking
01:48once again at 14 or 15 degrees down towards east south east.
