00:00Hello, I'm Marco Petegna, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:03We hold on to rather unsettled weather across the UK during the days ahead. We'll see some
00:07outbreaks of rain at times and quite blustery winds too at times as well. We've got a ridge
00:11of high pressure building in from the west briefly overnight, quieting things down, but
00:15further weather systems are gathering out towards the west. They'll push outbreaks of
00:18rain and at times quite windy weather in across all parts of the UK as we go through the coming
00:22few days.
00:23Back to the detail for this evening and during the overnight period, and any showers are
00:26fading away from England and Wales, so lots of fine weather here with some clear spells
00:30overnight, but some mist and fog patches forming, particularly across Wales and the south-west
00:34of England during the early hours. Meanwhile, notice a band of rain that's worked its way
00:38in across Scotland and Northern Ireland through the evening, pushing into northern England
00:41and Wales by the end of the night, with blustery showers then tucking in across the far north-west
00:46by the morning itself.
00:48No problems with temperatures tonight, generally frost free. Lowest temperatures around 5 degrees
00:52towards the north-east of Scotland, 41 in Fahrenheit, but holding up near 8 or 9 degrees
00:56down towards the south and south-west.
00:59So into Monday, that band of rain continues its journey south-eastwards across the rest
01:02of England and Wales, becoming pretty light and patchy by the time it reaches the south-east
01:06of England by lunchtime, with sunshine and showers following from the north-west. Some
01:11of those showers pretty blustery towards the west of Scotland, and there's some more persistent
01:14rain arriving here towards the evening.
01:17Temperatures stay quite mild for the time of year, peaking in the north at around 10,
01:21with a high down towards the south and south-east of 14 or 15 degrees. 15 there in London, it's
01:2759 in Fahrenheit.
01:29As for Tuesday, well we'll see further wet and windy weather arriving from the north-west,
01:33pushing its way south-eastwards across many northern parts of the UK as we go through
01:36the day. Some of the rain will be heavy, as I say accompanied by quite blustery winds,
01:40whereas towards the south and east it's mostly fine, still some bright weather around at
01:43times, but even here a fairly breezy day as well.
01:47Temperatures stay quite mild, peaking at 11 or 12 degrees towards the north, still
01:5112 or 13 degrees down towards the south and south-east.
01:55That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to The Betelgeuse Forecast

02:03you soon, bye for now.
