00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Bitania. We've got
00:04a cool and showy weekend in store across the UK. In fact, across the central part of England
00:08into parts of Wales, it's generally cloudy with some more persistent outbreaks of rain,
00:11at least for a time, because that will tend to turn more patchy as we head towards the
00:14evening. Towards the south and southwest, slightly brighter skies, but we could see
00:18a scattering of heavy showers, particularly towards the southwest of England and towards
00:22the north and northwest across Scotland and Northern Ireland is the case of sunshine and
00:26scattered showers. Wherever you are, temperatures are struggling
00:29for the time of year, given an east to northeasterly breeze, no higher than 11 Celsius towards
00:33the north and northwest, perhaps peaking towards the south and southeast at 13 or 14 degrees,
00:3814 in London, there is 57 in Fahrenheit. As we go through the evening and during the
00:42overnight period, the showers towards the north and west will start to ease, we'll see
00:45more and more clear spells around, whereas towards the south and east, outbreaks of more
00:49persistent rain moving up from the south, some of that turning quite heavy, especially
00:52during the early hours of Sunday. But with the clearest skies towards the north and northwest,
00:56it will turn quite chilly, we could see a touch of frost in places, some rural spots
00:59here dipping below freezing. But towards the south and southeast, those temperatures hold
01:03up in the range 5 to 8 Celsius. As for Sunday, we'll see an east-west split
01:08in the weather, outbreaks of rain affecting many eastern parts, some of it turning quite
01:11heavy at times. Notice for East Anglia, we could see slightly brighter skies for a time,
01:16setting off a few sharp showers. Towards the north and west, or out towards the west and
01:20northwest I should say, a brighter day generally, with a scattering of showers in places too.
01:25Once again, temperatures are struggling, given that quite a keen breeze out towards
01:28the east, it will feel quite chilly here, temperatures no better than 8 or 9 degrees
01:31in a few spots. Elsewhere, temperatures are below average, peaking at 12 or 13 Celsius,
01:36perhaps a local 14 towards the far south and southeast, 14 again, it's 57 in Fahrenheit.
01:41As we go through the evening on Sunday, rain will continue to work its way across northeastern
01:45parts of the UK, quite a blustery and wet end of the day here. Elsewhere, those showers
01:49start to ease down, still a few around, but with clearer skies, once again it will start
01:53to turn chilly as we head into the early hours of Monday morning.
01:56That's pretty much it for me, but you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast by following

02:04care, bye bye.
