00:00Hello, good afternoon. I'm Marco Petania. Here's your latest weather update from the
00:03Met Office. We're seeing a chilly north to northwesterly air flow across the UK at the
00:07moment. Low pressure sitting towards the north-east of the UK, high pressure out towards the west
00:11generating that northerly flow, with weather fronts at times feeding down in that northerly
00:15flow enhancing showery conditions. So looking at things in more detail for the rest of today,
00:20we've got a legacy of cloud and patchy rain clearing from the far south and south-east
00:23of England, brightening skies from the north-west. So lots of sunshine developing across parts
00:27of Wales and Midlands into parts of Northern Ireland too. One or two showers further north
00:31across Northern England, but the bulk of the showers this afternoon reserved for Scotland,
00:35particularly towards the north and west. It'll be quite heavy at times, merging to give one
00:39or two longer spells of rain, and one or two of the showers could be quite heavy and blustery,
00:43coupled with that north to northwesterly wind taking the edge off the temperatures. So temperatures
00:47no better here than low to mid-teens Celsius, peaking down towards the south and south-east
00:51at 19 or 20 degrees. 20 there in London is 68 in Fahrenheit. As we head into the evening,
00:57through the overnight period, we'll continue to see some showers towards the north and
01:01north-west of the UK, still quite heavy and blustery at times, and then merging later
01:05on overnight to some longer spells of rain, particularly across parts of Northern Ireland
01:09and the south-west of Scotland. Whereas further south and south-east, the bulk of England
01:12and Wales slept fair, cloud melting away, but it will turn quite chilly here by the
01:16morning. Towns and city temperatures generally holding up near double figures, but in some
01:20rural spots, we could see temperatures down to 1 to 3 Celsius, slow enough for a touch
01:23of grass frost by Sunday morning. Towards the north and north-west, though, with the
01:27cloud, the wind and those outbreaks of rain, temperatures generally holding up here, 7
01:30to 10 Celsius. So frosty here, but a particularly chilly night for the time of year towards
01:34the south and east of the UK. As we head into Sunday itself, it will stay quite showy towards
01:40the north and north-west of the UK. Those showers, as I say, merging to some longer
01:43spells of rain across parts of Northern Ireland and south-west Scotland, with some of that
01:47rain also pushing into the north of England and the north of Wales as we go into the afternoon
01:51on Sunday. Further north, it's a case of sunshine and showers, still quite blustery
01:54here too, whereas towards the south and south-east of the UK, after a fine sunny start, clouds
01:59starting to move in from the north and north-west, although notice towards the south-west staying
02:02quite sunny until the end of the day. Once again, it's quite chilly for the time of year,
02:07temperatures peaking towards the north and north-west at 12 to 14 Celsius, whereas towards
02:11the south and south-east, similar to Saturday, at 19 or 20 Celsius.
02:15That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast

02:23take care, bye bye.
