00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Petania. Things
00:04are turning unsettled once again, certainly towards the south and east of the UK as we
00:07head through the evening and during the overnight period. Outbreaks of rain working their way
00:10in from the south, some of that rain turning quite heavy, particularly during the early
00:13hours of Sunday there. And out towards the west and north of the UK, it's generally a
00:18clearer picture, with a scattering of showers in places. And under those clearer slots we
00:22could see a pretty chilly night unfolding, temperatures locally below freezing in one
00:26and two places, so a touch of frost here by Sunday morning. Whereas with the cloud,
00:30the rain and a pretty brisk northerly breeze developing too, those temperatures do hold
00:34up across the south and south-east. Lows of around about four to eight Celsius here. As
00:39for Sunday, well, it's a pretty wet day in the offing towards the east and south-east
00:43of the UK. For a time we could see some brighter skies across the far south-east, setting off
00:47a few heavy, potentially thundery showers. But on the whole, a generally wet picture
00:51and that rain working its way north as we go through the day, reaching the east of Scotland
00:55into the afternoon. Whereas out towards the west and later across many southern spots,
00:59it will turn brighter, with a scattering of showers. Again, one or two of those showers
01:02could be fairly heavy in nature as well. So all in all, a pretty changeable, if not unsettled
01:07day, and temperatures struggling still for the time of year. Highest towards the north-west
01:11there of 12 degrees, up to 13 or 14 towards the south and south-east. Where we've got
01:15the wind and the rain towards the north-east, no better than 8 or 9 degrees, so a pretty
01:19chilly day here. As we go through the evening into the overnight period, those outbreaks
01:23of rain will gradually push away to the north-east, affecting the northern hours throughout the
01:27night on Sunday night. Clearer for a time elsewhere, and it will turn chilly under those
01:30clear slots, with showers then working their way in from the west, across many western
01:34and some northern areas, into the early hours of Monday. As I say, it will turn quite chilly
01:39by Monday morning, and we could see a touch of frost in one or two spots, with towns and
01:42city temperatures generally holding a little above freezing. As for Monday, well an east-west
01:47split developing in the weather once again, but this time it will be the east and south-east
01:51of the UK, generally seeing the best of any bright or sunny spells. Whereas out towards
01:55the west it's a very showery picture, some of the showers merging at times to give some
01:58longer spells of rain, some of that rain turning quite heavy too. But temperatures, notice,
02:03are a bit higher than they've been of late, peaking at 12 to 14 Celsius towards the north,
02:07up to 15 or 16 degrees towards the south-east. 16 there in the south-east is 61 in Fahrenheit.
02:13That's pretty much it for me, but of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast
02:17by following us on social media. I'll see you soon, take care for now, bye bye.
