00:00Hello again. Still some sunshine around on Tuesday, but nowhere nearly as much as many
00:06places saw at the weekend. Most places cloudy and showers or even longer spells of rain
00:12now that the weather has turned unsettled. High pressure sinking away, low pressure now
00:17pushing in from the north. That's what's going to be driving our weather through the rest
00:22of the week. And so that means that on Monday night we'll continue to see rain or showers
00:26across Scotland, but increasingly some showers for Northern Ireland into Northern England.
00:31Generally light at first and they're not really going to reach the southern half or third
00:36of the UK with clear spells remaining in the south. Here a touch of frost to wake up to
00:42on Tuesday where we keep the clearest skies for longest, but elsewhere frost free because
00:47of the cloud and an increased breeze establishing itself for the north east of Scotland and
00:53some persistent rain there into the north east of Scotland, showers elsewhere, but actually
00:57some decent dry spells at first on Tuesday for many. Before the showers get going even
01:03more so as daytime temperatures rise and effectively Tuesday is a day of bright spells and showers.
01:10The showers will be on the heavy side. There'll be a rumble of thunder possible for the likes
01:14of southern Scotland and Northern England. A few sharp showers into central areas, but
01:20the south coast and the south east mostly avoiding the showers until later on here,
01:25the best place for sunny spells. Feeling warm in the south where we get some sunshine if
01:30you're out of the breeze, 15 or 16 Celsius, but distinctly cool where we've continued
01:36to see persistent rain into the north east of Scotland and the east of Scotland, Northern
01:40England as well. Here 7 to 9 Celsius and a fresh breeze from the North Sea as well. We'll
01:48continue to see some persistent rain driving in from the North Sea in places overnight,
01:52but otherwise it's showers and increasingly those showers will be making in roads into
01:57the south. But because of the showery nature of the rain during the next few days, amounts
02:02will be highly variable. Some clear spells on Wednesday early doors will mean that there'll
02:09be a touch of frost in places, especially for central Scotland, temperatures below freezing
02:14in sheltered spots. Otherwise, most places frost free starting off Wednesday, but a lot
02:19of cloud cover, outbreaks of rain or showers continuing. And then as this low pressure
02:24eases into the continent, well, really we're into this slack northeasterly airflow for
02:29the rest of the week. It's a chilly airflow and it's a showery airflow as well with basically
02:36showers or longer spells of rain for most places on Wednesday. Yet again, showers generally
02:41scattered in the north, but there will be corridors of more persistent rainfall. You
02:45can see one there through mid Wales into the Midlands, perhaps East Anglia at times during
02:49Wednesday. So like I say, rainfall amounts highly variable from place to place, but good
02:55news certainly for gardeners or growers, some much needed rain in the forecast during the
03:00next few days. It will stay cool though, 10 to 13 or 14 Celsius, not feeling as pleasant
03:06given the extra cloud and those outbreaks of rain. And again, single figures around
03:11some of those northern and eastern coasts. Follow us on social media. We'll keep you
03:15updated with all the latest, but that's all for now. Bye bye.
