00:00Hello there. High pressure in charge over the next few days into the weekend.
00:05Things are looking very settled indeed.
00:08But by night, the air will be cold enough for a frost by day, we'll see some pleasant sunshine.
00:13Into Wednesday, the cloud is clearing from the north as a weak weather front sinks its way southwards.
00:19But the air behind this weather front is much colder, so expect a frost tonight,
00:24particularly across central and northern areas of Scotland, sheltered spots of Northern Ireland.
00:29This weak system here pushes down towards northern counties of England.
00:32The odd spot or two of rain can't be ruled out.
00:35And towards the southeast, we will see some low, misty cloud.
00:39The clearest skies will be towards the north, central and northern areas of Scotland.
00:43But even across the far north, we could see one or two wintry showers with quite a brisk breeze.
00:49You can see where the lowest temperatures will be, though.
00:51The glens of Scotland, minus four degrees Celsius.
00:53Apache frost for Northern Ireland, as well as even Northern England.
00:57First thing then on Wednesday morning, a cold wind across the far north of Scotland.
01:02Clearer skies extend down towards Northumberland, as well as Cumbria, East Yorkshire.
01:07Apache cloud for Northern Ireland.
01:09Then we run into this weather front, which is weak, but even so,
01:12the odd spot or two of rain can't be ruled out anywhere from Lincolnshire towards the Midlands.
01:16To the south of that, murky conditions for the home counties,
01:19and we will see some brighter skies across more southern areas of England.
01:23So, through Wednesday, this weak weather front tends to ease as it pushes down towards the south.
01:28Just really cloud, but the cloud will break up through the afternoon.
01:32A very different story across Scotland and Northern Ireland through the day.
01:35Fine and dry, with some blue sky and sunshine.
01:39A lovely day to be out and about.
01:41You can see this cloud a bit more stubborn across the west Midlands, east Wales.
01:45We could see one or two showers breaking out across the west country.
01:49But most places will be dry.
01:51Highest temperatures towards the southwest, coming in around 16 Celsius.
01:55Elsewhere, around 10 to 14.
01:58Here's your bigger picture for the next few days.
02:00This area of high pressure extends from the northwest.
02:03Those blues never too far away, but the temperatures will recover after quite a chilly day on Wednesday.
02:08Certainly by day, we'll see temperatures up to the mid-teens.
02:11By night, though, a fairly widespread frost, and then subtle changes towards the southwest.
02:16The winds will pick up some strength here,
02:18and they could turn quite gusty over perhaps even the southern Welsh hills, as well as the moors.
02:23Elsewhere, fine and dry with some sunshine, and that extends into the weekend.
02:27Perhaps more in the way of clouds around, though.
02:29Bye-bye.
