00:00Hello again. A bright day to come across northern parts of the UK with some sunny spells, but
00:06cloudier in the south. That cloud clearing south through the day, but a lot of grey and
00:11drizzly weather to come, I think, for southern parts of England and South Wales as these
00:16weather fronts clear. They're weak weather fronts, they are bringing extensive low cloud
00:20and drizzle. High pressure then builds in behind the weather fronts, clearing the skies
00:25and leading to plenty of bright weather for north Wales, parts of north Midlands, northern
00:29England, Scotland and Northern Ireland seeing some areas of cloud, especially the north
00:33and west of Scotland where we'll see a few showers along with a brisk breeze. But further
00:39south, well, that's where the extensive low cloud is. South Wales, parts of the Midlands,
00:43East Anglia and the south of England. Some drizzle and perhaps a moderate burst of rain
00:48for East Anglia and the far south-east. But here, 11 or 12 Celsius, a mild afternoon to
00:53come whilst temperatures are closer to average where we've got the brighter skies further
00:57north. The cloud does eventually clear through the evening. Most of it disappears from England
01:03and Wales and under those extensive clear skies, well, a widespread frost forming with
01:08light winds and temperatures fairly widely a little below freezing and in some shelter
01:13spots minus 4 or minus 5 Celsius. But for parts of northern England and more especially
01:20Scotland and Northern Ireland, more cloud and a stronger breeze here will keep temperatures
01:24higher, so a milder start, especially for the north of Scotland, but low cloud and some
01:29outbreaks of rain for the north and northwest. Meanwhile, further south, in some sheltered
01:33spots there'll be some dense fog patches to begin things on Wednesday. They'll clear by
01:38lunchtime and then plenty of sunshine for much of England and Wales, a much brighter
01:42day to come compared to Tuesday. Some cloud there for the Pennines into northwest England,
01:46but the thickest cloud this time for much of Scotland, especially the north of Scotland
01:51with a keen breeze and some outbreaks of rain for the northern and western isles as
01:55well as the northwest highlands. It's actually milder for the north of Scotland despite the
02:00cloud, the wind and those outbreaks of rain, whilst temperatures are a little lower further
02:04south but with light winds and plenty of sunshine, a pleasant day to come. And it's a similar
02:09theme through the rest of the week. I think increasingly we'll see more widespread fog
02:13forming by night across central and southern parts of the UK and that fog in places will
02:18persist through the day on Thursday, Friday and into the weekend. So increasingly I think
02:24looking a bit more dull in the south and fairly chilly where the fog does persist by day,
02:29but it will stay generally dry in the south whilst increasingly it will turn a bit wetter
02:34for exposed parts of the northwest. Follow us on social media and we'll keep you updated
02:38with all the very latest. Bye bye.
